Hidden gem in Mt Pleasant. Meats are always fresh and of the best quality. If you are looking for a tasty sandwich the deli has the amazing options. The service is great and the guys behind the counter are always friendly and ready to answer all questions. The prepared foods are tasty as well. Really good bacon cheese dip and and the sweet and sour pickles are a must grab.

The Butcher Shoppe always has the best selection of meats and wine to choose from. Even when they happen to run out, they find a way to make it happen. Perfect example was my last trip to the store, they were out of their meatballs but took the time to roll a whole 2 dozen of them from a separate stash of meat that wasn’t intended for meatballs and even walked thru the prep work with me. Chris and the guys there are awesome and we’ll continue to always hit them up!

I have to admit I have used this place more for the deli /sub counter then a butcher shop, but all of it is awesome! Probably one of the best subs I have found. Meat is on point, toppings are super fresh & staff is friendly to chat with. As far as everything else. Their steak was great to cook at home, they have a pretty cool wine program that I haven’t used just yet(but will soon) & their wine selection seems to be all great prices. This place is a local little gem. Super happy I found them… Those subs!

This place serves hoagies now. This is by far the best hoagie in all of Charleston… bar none. I lived in NJ one summer and this is the real deal. It’s $ 9 but it’s so big you could split it. Awesome.

If you’re a fan of meatballs like I am, this is a definite stop you must make! For as many times as I’ve been here, I’ve yet to actually get any meat from the counter. I work close by and venture there on my lunch breaks for the sandwiches. Easily one of the best meatball subs I’ve ever had. The guy behind the counter, Brian, mixes the marinara with the cheese so instead of getting sauce all over the place and dripping out of your sandwich, it stays in the bread and allows for even disbursement of cheese, sauce and meatballs – very important on a meatball sub. The bread is nice and soft which allows you to devour it quickly without crusty bread tearing up the inside of your mouth. My chef friend also swears by their Brooklyn sandwich, saying it’s the best he’s had outside of NYC. I will not argue with him. There are lots of yummy looking prepared foods, a nice cheese selection, and a small but killer wine selection. Definitely a one-stop place for a picnic or on your way out to the beach. The only downside is they have no small sides or bags of chips to go with their sandwiches. I’m usually full after my sandwich so it’s not too big of deal Two sandwiches(yes they are large) and two bottles of Sprecher sodas(awesome root beer) cost around $ 18.

Words fail to describe this place. It is family owned and operated and everything is to shelf. Save yourself a lot of grief and make this your first and only stop for high quality meats, cheese, and other hard to find sundry items. I left the other day thinking I found heaven.
