Went for seafood on Friday and it was delicious. Portions are huge! Everything our party of three had was on-​point. Try the corn nuggets.

Great hometown restaurant with friendly staff, local farm to fork food, and amazing food! Chicken and dumplings are a must have!

Found this on our way to the NC Zoo in Asheboro. Great little café with good breakfast! Mini pancakes for the little ones, with delicious grits, livermush and great sausage cooked to order. Reasonable prices too! This reminds me of a little local café my Mom used to frequent; I’m sure everyone else there was local, but we still got good service

What a gem in the rough! Excellent service. The owner brought out the food and thanked us for our business when we left. I had the BBQ sandwich, slaw and onion rings which were all excellent. They had a hot sauce and vinegar sauce to put on BBQ. I liked the vinegar which was your standard NC vinegar sauce. Slaw was chopped a little too fine but wasn’t too mayonnaisey. They have Pepsi products and not coke which is the only negative I can come up with. My friend had the BBQ plate with corn nuggets (fried nuggets of cream of corn) and Mac n cheese. He really liked the BBQ with vinegar sauce, some Texas Pete’s to add a little heat, and corn nuggets. Mac n cheese was good. Tasted just like Kraft Mac n cheese. Sweet tea had a lot of sugar but he liked it. Lots of homemade pies and cakes if you have room. He got pecan pie to go.
Great meal for $ 20. Will definitely come back the next time we are driving through.
