Marco’s Pizza

If expensive tomato sauce and cheese on a cracker, this is your dream.
I asked for an extra large, thin and crispy. TERRIBLE.

We are big fans of Marco’s Pizza, Mt. Pleasant. I think we’ve tried just about every pizza place that delivers in the area for our Sunday night pepperoni pizza fix, and we’ve been disappointed time and again until we found Marco’s. Unlike other pizza places in the area, Marco’s delivery is always fresh, HOT, and does not disappoint. I am also a big fan of the Marco’s Pizza rewards program and their «Track Your Order» feature. Their delivery staff is always friendly and professional. Marco’s will likely be the only place we order pizza from for the foreseeable future.

Decent price but very mediocre pizza for that price. They used canned mushrooms. Not even papa Johns uses those, I believe. Even the pepperoni pizza tasted bland. If I were to describe their pizza here in one word it would be just that: bland. We could have spent the same money, skipped the brownie (also mediocre and mostly not eaten) and gotten fantastic pizza from mellow mushroom. Or spent much less money and gotten equal pizza from Dominos or something. Awesome customer service though, the lady was super nice. In a good food town like Charleston you really have to up your game to be a decent restaurant.

First pizza Ive had delivered in Mount P. in years. Outside of the convenience of having food delivered to our door in a suburban area, no good comes from delivery. Slow, cold, fees: pfft. I’d rather just get in my car and pick it up, but this go around, I was visiting someone in the hospital, and didnt want to leave. It was 930 at night, and only a few chain pizza places in were open, so I decided to go with Marcos for the first time. The young lady I spoke to on the phone was pleasant, and even looked up the address to the hospital for me since I did not have it on hand. Very easy and pleasant transaction. $ 15+ for a Large cheese with 1 topping. Kinda pricey.
Shockingly, the pizza was delivered in 20 minutes or so. Was not expecting that! Delivery dude was cool, had a smile on his face: smart. Your presentation matters in that tip! And even more shocking: it was hot. The pizza was actually hot. Delivered pizza was hot! So far, feeling good about Marcos.
Get it up to the room, open the bad boy up, and my high instantly comes down. I ordered a lrg cheese with mushrooms, and the mushrooms were the mushy, shiny, waterlogged can mushrooms. BUUMMMEERRRR. I loathe can mushrooms. They’re slimy, slick… bleh. So I picked them off, took a bite, and honestly, the pizza is not good. Its very bland. There are no flavors and nothing stands out, just like that dreadful digornos or some other crappy frozen pizza. I may be struck down, but cicis $ 5 pizza is actually better than this. Probably wont order from Marcos again, but ¾ stars for customer service.

Really good! We’ve tried it three times so far. It compares to a true north easter pizza parlor yet it happens to be a franchise. Puts the more well known pizza names to shame. Excellent.

I grew up in Ohio where Marco’s is originally from. I grew up eating their pizza pretty much every weekend as a child. I’ve never been disappointed in the quality until I moved to SC and ordered from the Mt Pleasant store. I’m not sure if it’s a franchise-​by-​franchise decision, but CANNED MUSHROOMS?! Seriously?! Nasty. Marco’s can do better than this. They do in Ohio.

I’m surprised at the varied reviews. The Italian Subs and Cheesesteaks are the best so far we have found in the area. They were nicely made on good Italian bread (warm) with ample meats and cheeses and the flavor comparable to any good Italian joint in NJ. The chicken wings were meaty and the sauce was perfect Buffalo sauce. The pizza was fine — I prefer a thin crust, but it was hot and good. We have ordered from here twice — they were very busy on Friday night, but they kept things moving and worked together very well. They are the example of good food with good service — the extreme opposite of their neighbor, Bagel Nation who has great bagels, but horrible service. They could teach them how to run a business.

I was very unhappy with the quality of the food. The chicken tasted frozen and the pizza tasted like one of the $ 5 hot and ready from Little Caessrs without the small price tag. Never again.

We have had pizza delivered twice since they opened and they have been great every time. Unlike other pizza delivery places near by, our pizza from Marcos arrives hot (hubs burnt his mouth!) and tastes great. Prices are great as well.

Very disappointing Marco’s wouldn’t honor their coupons. We were looking to save a few bucks while trying out a new pizza joint. Guess not – can’t comment on quality of food. But can give one star for poor customer service.

Apparently they opened today! But from the phone service, delivery staff and time, and quality of the pizza, you’d never know. Everything was delicious. This will be our new go-​to delivery pizza.
Spicy Pepperoni Fresco, cheesy bread, and meatball bake. All were great. Original crust made thin was great… just order an extra side of sauce if you’re like me!
