Unexpected surprise! Pulled up to this place and there was only one car at lunch time… but we were hungry. We both ordered Enchiladas Rojas. The sauce was actually red, none of that brown ugly stuff that most places in Illinois try to pass off as red enchilada sauce. This was advertised to be home made sauce. It was red and tasted like it actually had red chilies in it, not just tomatoes. The beans were tasty and not warmed over and burned tasting like so many are. The rice was nothing to write home about but rice is always kinda boring. This was the best restaurant Mexican food I’ve had since El Patio in Presidio, TX… nothing beats El Patio enchiladas!
