Unique Nails and Toes

I think its time for an update review for this nail salon.
Ive been a frequent client for the last 2 years because the quality of service is consistent and worth coming for. I’m happy to keep coming back to Tina, she is the owner of the salon and she runs her own show and does it right!
This isn’t your typical fast moving salon where you have 30 girls working getting people in and out. This is a very personable salon with Tina and 1 or 2 other girls working at most. The first thing people say when they walk in is «Hi Tina!!» And she nows everyone by name.
The salon is completely remodeled from flooring and walls, to the large flat screen TVs. She still plays the RomCom movies which are always entertaining while you wait for your nails to dry.
I just moved out of NJ but I really love this place. And I’ll always keep coming as long as she is here when I’m in town.
I recommend making an appt or calling ahead before you go in. That’s what I always do and it seems like most people do the same.

I was visiting family and needed a manicure terribly before the holiday, so based on the previous good reviews I stopped by Unique. The ladies working there were super friendly as previously noted, and I really liked that they were playing a comedy on their big screen! However, I’m giving it three stars because my manicure was really average at best. The polish job was uneven and messy; there was nail polish on my skin and in my cuticles, and there were gaps on some nails on the sides. It definitely doesn’t look like a professional did it; could have done it myself at home. There were only two ladies working and there seemed to be many appointments and walk-​ins (makes sense the Sunday before Christmas), so my manicurist may have been in a rush. However, I was still disappointed to have average looking nails for the holiday week. The manicures are cheap, only $ 10, but in is case it wasn’t a great deal. Maybe it would be better if you went during a down time!

Tina and Jane are sweethearts. Got a french mani pedi for $ 45 today (standard $ 35 for regular) and they use the old brush technique, love! Don’t let the exterior fool you. Service was fast and pleasant. They also turned on a movie for me to watch while my nails were drying. So glad I won’t have to trek all the way to Philly now!
