Mt Laurel Marriott

Horrible Experience! I was there 5 years ago and it was much more accommodating to children. I had rooms 149 & 151 this time and it was a big disappointment.
Staff was not very accommodating, they tried to talk me out of having the broken lock to the back door repaired and expected me to sleep in a room that anyone can come in the middle of the night is absurd. They were stains in bathtubs that was from the results of chips paint and rusted; that looks like dried blood. Only 2 sets of towels in each bathroom instead of the standard 4. They were water-​stained ceilings by the rear door and in bathrooms. Also an inconvenience if you are carry a baby/​packages between the hours of 10pm and 10am since there are no other access door to the property other than the front lobby entrance, you have to walk around the building for access.
Rooms were also not well cleaned. I found a candy stuck to the carpet and other small toys left behind the couch from other clients (Must beware if you have small children that may choke on these items).
Coco-​keys was also a disappointment. Too crowded & not well organized. In other water-​parks, if there is not enough floats to go around lazy river, they allow the patrons to walk around. This place make you stand on the side. Also take notice of the blue lips on the children because the temperature is too cold. This place is better off for adults to drink at the bar & go in the hot tub since they do not allow children (unlike 5 years ago).

I had a fantastic experience at this Marriott! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great — clean, nicely decorated and didn’t have a funky smell like a lot of hotel rooms have. The bed, however, gave me a backache in the morning. I heard they recently renovated. It looks wonderful! No complaints from me!

The only good thing this hotel has is that Coco Keys is attached. However it is very outdated. I believe that they should update the hotel to comply with the new indoor waterpark they have which is great…

This place was gross for a Marriott. It wasn’t that clean and was very outdated. I wouldn’t stay here again. Also the beds always felt moist but the weren’t wet (my co-​worker agreed with me too). Yuck!

I’m not fond of the parking lot layout at this hotel. It appears that when they added the Coco Key water park, which I have no interest in visiting, they cut away part of the parking lot so that it is not two unconnected parking areas with fewer parking spaces.
This hotel has a ballroom that is small but usable for convention functions. The interior layout takes a bit of getting used to. In the elevators, the lobby is on level 2, which is rather confusing. Level 1 is the water park. Stranger still, taking the stairs up from the lobby level gets you to level 4?!
At the time of this review, the hotel was undergoing renovation so any problems may eventually be corrected. The only problem in my room was the broken bathroom door lock. I’ve not seen this kind of shower control before. It works but I kept thinking the knob was pointing the opposite of where it should be pointing.
Housekeeping skipped my room for one day with no explanation given. Aside from that, the hotel staff seem pleasant and easy to deal with.
