This is our local go to place. When the weather is bad and we don’t want to travel far we go here. Cucina Carini is a b.y.o.b. establishment. Love the calamari, pasta dishes and especially the eggplant rollatini. The food and service is consistently top shelf! In the summer they have a beautiful outdoor garden. They also make wonderful pizzas in their special wood fired oven. Give this place a try!

We’ve returned a few times since our initial visit. Each time food and service were good, Have enjoyed each meal. Tried their pizza as a takeout this week. Both the plain cheese and the pepperoni pies were equally good. Crisp crust, plenty of sauce, cheese, and toppings.

Wonderful neighborhood experience. Not on a major highway or mall this establishment is clean and well appointed. Parking is limited so make a reservation. The salmon with vegetables is good and healthy. But try the veal or chicken parmigiana — the sauce is to die for! BYOB

Don’t waste your time. Nothing special. Dirty and a lot of flies. Seafood was very chewy. Unfriendly staff.

Went to Cucina Carini a few days ago with my girlfriend for dinner upon recommendation from my cousin. I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but it’s not possible so 3 stars will have to do. It has a spacious parking lot and the décor is very upscale. There is even a small fountain out back for a romantic night. The serving staff was very friendly and took our orders promptly. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Supreme and my girlfriend ordered a 10″ Scampi Primavera Pizza. Now, I assume that a pizza takes a long time to cook up because our wait time was a little over an hour(We ordered around 7:30pm and got our food at 8:40pm). The staff came by for refills and bread, but never mentioned the wait time at all. My dish was good, but nothing i’d go out of the way for. It was exactly how I envisioned a grilled chicken supreme, so I can’t complain. However, I could complain that I didn’t order my favorite meal of Chicken Parmesan to try something new, but it’s in the past! I instantly knew that my girlfriend did not like her pizza since as soon as she picked up a slice, half the cheese slid off. She ate two slices(about how much she normally eats) and asked for a box. She gave me the box on the ride home since she didn’t actually want it(either did I). However, I have been eating the pizza leftovers for lunch the last two days and I really liked it a lot. Maybe it’s just better when the ingredients have a chance to settle, but that wouldn’t make it fresh if it was ordered that way. Anyway, neither of us were thrilled with our orders after the long wait and with a $ 5 coupon and $ 6 tip, the total was a hefty $ 36. If we’re back, i’d be sure to write a new review if the experience was better, but it stands at 3 stars.

Every plate was very good and the service was nice. We went in a party of nine and the noise was actually kind of low.

Very cute restaurant! Décor is nice, it’s quite spacious yet intimate. Each table feels like it’s in its own section, although there are rooms that are sectioned off, probably to accommodate private parties. We were a table of 11. Yes, a big group, every restaurant’s nightmare. When dining in groups larger than 4, I always expect service to be sub par, just because it’s more difficult to cater to! But our service was spot on. Appetizers and entrees were all brought out accordingly. Nothing was cold! And the dining table was never empty, nor overcrowded! The food was very comforting. All of your favorites, but better than you can make yourself at home. Penne Vodka was on point. I think that was everyone’s favorite dish. But I’m a sucker for meatballs, and Cucina Carini had hands-down one of my favorites! Service was impeccable. Especially for such a large, demanding group, the waitstaff was sure to be attentive. I’ve heard the pizza is bomb, but I haven’t had a chance to try it. I will definitely be back!

Great service, nice décor, but totally forgettable food. I’ve had better meals for less money at our local pizza place.

Food is average. Beware the prices on the lunch menu. Ask. The soft drink price states $ 1.50 but the cost is actually $ 2.95. Then I order a Margherita Pizza which the Menu states is $ 6.95 and lo and behold the price is $ 9.95. Isn’t this illegal? PS The pizza was above average. I liked the décor especially the glass paining of the Citta Carini which I think is in Sicily.

Enjoyed a great meal at this hidden gem! Why go to a corporate restaurant chain when you can support your local family restaurants and have a delicious meal?!? Appetizers: calamari was tender and tasty, bruschetta was flavorful and served on fresh crisp bread, and the long hots were nice and spicy! Entrée: Trio di Mare had big shrimp and scallops cooked perfectly and crab meet throughout the dish in a rich buttery sauce. Dessert: Chocolate Mousse cake was a great treat to end the meal with a nice glass of wine(BYOB). Server Helen was friendly, attentive and knowledgable with recommendations :) give it a try!

I’ve been here quite a few times, as it’s close by and we’ve never had to wait for a table. The ambiance and décor are nice. The service is pretty bad… Ranging from odd and creepy to extremely neglectful. If your customers order the long hots appetizer, don’t let them sit there for 15 minutes with empty beverage glasses. There’s a dish on the menu that usually I like — «Veal Madeline». It’s a breaded veal cutlet with cheese and broccoli rabe and some other ingredients(hot peppers and proscioutto I think). I’ve ordered it several times, because broccoli rabe is a favorite of mine. The last time I went to Cucina Carini, my partner and I both ordered the Veal Madeline. Instead of broccoli rabe like it says on the menu, it was served with broccoli and spinach instead, with no mention of the substitution. It looked like it was arranged to look like broccoli rabe. The chef decided not to inform us that a key component of the dish was unavailable, and instead assumed we were idiots and wouldn’t know the difference. Also, on several occasions, our entrees have come out extremely hot — I don’t think it’s possible to get a plate of pasta & chicken that uniformly hot without using a microwave. I would skip this place, there are much better italian restaurants in the area.

What a wonderful Italian restaurant! I use Cucina Carini to impress out of town business associates, family and friends. They love the atmosphere and the friendliness of Paula and Glenn, the owners. Everything on the menu is great(Marc is a wonderful chef and will accommodate special dietary needs)! It’s BYOB so pick up a bottle of your favorite chianti, gather your appetite and head over to Cucina Carini for a feast! Here’s my personal recommendation: Appetizer — Mussels Fra Diavalo(don’t get carried away with the homebaked bread); Entrée — House Salad with House Dressing on the side, Eggplant Parmesan, and for Dessert — Tira Mi Su and a Cappuccino! Buon Appetito!

Great food– had the clams & linguini. Went with coworkers and everyone enjoyed their food. The place is super cute like a converted house. The bread that comes out is hot from the oven– just a pizza dough but great warm.

The food is okay… the servers will hover over you if you take too long. Not a fan of helicopter waiters.

I checked the Unilocal reviews before going here, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But a flyer in the mail mentioned a Mon-Wed pizza special for $ 8.95, so I figured there wasn’t much to lose. When we inquired about the pizza special, we were(rudely) told that the special is only for take-out. Mind you, nowhere on the flyer does it say this. But whatever, we were already there, so we decided to just get a 10″ pizza and see what it was like. It took FOREVER to come out, but it was WELLWORTH the wait. Best pizza I’ve had in a long time, easily the best pizza in South Jersey! Who knew that this little place that I’ve driven by 1000x before would have the best pizza around? Next time I come back, I’m tempted to try one of their entrees and see how they are. But that pizza is so good, I might just stick with it. :)

Small place which is easy to miss when driving by if you don’t know where it is. We were visiting friends who live on the area. Ordered take out. I had ordered the white pizza, cheese raviolis and pasta with a blush sauce to go. Sunday night and it is way understaffed. The burglar/fire alarm went off as I sat there waiting for our order. Nice. No one working there seemed to want to do anything to stop the noise so maybe this happens all the time!!! 3 fully equipped fireman just walked in axes and all! Exciting!!! People already seated are walking out as the noise is ear piercing! I hope this my last fire drill review!!. The place is very confused and unorganized. One poor guy at the front is busting his ass and some guy who looks like the owner is walking around in circles being no help to anyone. Phone ringing off the hook, no one picking up. I hope this is worth the wait. White pizza was blah… pizza crust and mozarella.period. I won;t be doing that again. My wife enjoyed the raviolis and the pasta with blush sauce was ok, not great.

My family and I call this our«back yard restaurant»… because we could throw a rock into their parking lot(not that any of us have…) It’s a gem. Their seafood dishes are always fresh(grilled or in pasta!) and their pizzas are awesome too! Fresh and tasty ingredients makes for a tasty meal! They also do take out.
