Great food, excellent outdoor seating, bathrooms could use a renovation.

This was more than a good meal. It was a dining experience. The food was great and the people-watching was too! Casual Elegance is the right way to describe it. We came from Mineola, Tx and we were not disappointed with the choice in coming to Carlucci’s.

Dinner at Carlucci’s is always good. I do not think I have had a bad meal there. Tonight was no exception. We started with the crab meat bruschetta which was wonderful. We both opted for the salads over the soup, my wife had the fresh garden and I had the Cesar. For the main dish, I had the blackened prime rib with Bleu cheese crumbles. I am sure I have mentioned that I love steak in other reviews, in fact I am not sure which I love more, steak or ice cream. But anyway back to the meal… the steak was cooked perfectly for me and was very juicy. The mashed potatoes were just okay in my opinion, but I am married to a Polish woman that crushes mashed potatoes. The veggies were bland and needed some seasoning. My wife had the sea bass and she was very pleased. So much so that she kept complaining that she was full but still managed to eat all of it. No dessert tonight being that we were both stuffed, but overall, very happy with the meal, service, pricing, and atmosphere.

Had a great after church meal here. The appetizers where spot on and the entrees where excellent. The view from the dinning room over looking the river adds to the dinning experience. I look forward to visiting again.

Went to dinner tonight and had the Boston Harbor. It was phenomenal. The food is fabulous. We have never ever had a bad meal. Their food is very reasonably priced and Carlo and the staff are incredible. It feels like family because everyone there is so genuinely warm and friendly. We dine out all the time and carluccis never ceases to amaze me. I recommended this restaurant to all my friends and they all feel the same way as I do. I love this place. We feel this is the best restaurant by far in south jersey. Can’t wait to go back again. Janet and Steve

Beautiful outdoor patio seating with views of the Rancocas. We ordered the caprese as an app. that was very fresh with a nice portion. The entrees, lasagna and vodka rigatoni, were brought out hot with a very generous portion size. The rigatoni was very good but the lasagna was average. It may just be me as I am very particular about lasagna and how it should appear. This dish was a bit runny and not well put together. Overall, a nice place for outdoor seating with the views helping bring up the score.

My one girlfriend has a lot of her children’s parties here. She lives close by and this truly is a great location for a party. OR just to have lunch/dinner outdoors. It is on the river and it’s peaceful with plenty of great ‘backdrops’ for photo opps. I had salmon for my lunch selection. It was a small, but tasty, piece. Sides were string beans(cooked right) and a mashed potatoes(gave to my girl — not my thing). Vince had a chicken special that boasted spinach and tomatoes. He enjoyed his, which is saying a lot! The kiddies had fried shrimp and pasta. They were happy with theirs I suppose. My son seemed to enjoy the bread and butter more! Service was okay. I’d def come here again, esp over the upcoming summer!!!

On this Saturday confirmation lunch visit I finally completed my trifecta of all of this restaurant’s locations. The other two places are much closer to my house, but this is likely the best of the three. The location lakeside is definitely the best, and I would probably return just to sit outside on the large and nicely appointed terrace. This is also the only location with a liquor license, this may be a pro to some, I prefer to BYOB when possible. There seems to be major construction underway that will expand the building vertically, and I imagine add to their banquet space. The food at the other two locations never wowed me, but never disappointed either. These spots were located centrally(to my family) and had enough items to satisfy many tastes, hence they were viewed by me as good family get together choices. The lunch I had at this one surpassed the food I had at the others. It was a limited menu but one option intrigued me, chicken Vesuvio. This is a thin cutlet, topped with spinach and a few diced tomatoes, then topped with an Alfredo sauce and tortellini. I rarely order this white sauce but was very happy I did today. The fowl was crunchy on the outside and not overcooked on the inside, the sauce was creamy and not overpowering, and the pasta was excellent. I’m not even a fan of cooked spinach, but that was great as well. I would certainly get this again. I didn’t get to taste any other plates, but from what I saw they seemed to be nicely done, and everyone at the party seemed happy. This chain offers coupons frequently, but when I’ve tried to use them there always seems to be a restriction. Today’s visit was no exception, we handed the hostess a $ 20 coupon that seemed to qualify for use(according to the coupon itself) but management would not honor it. There is also a Unilocal checkin offer here for 20% off. Of all the locations, this is probably the one I would choose to revisit, mainly due to the outside dining option. But this group of restaurants has staying power and a somewhat loyal clientele, and the consistency of their food is the main reason for that. 3.5 keeping everyone happy Unilocal

I decided to come to Carlucci’s for a cocktail because of the fact that they had outdoor seating and it was such a beautiful spring day, plus it just so happened to be happy hour. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery while sipping my cocktail. Needless to say, that is pretty much the only basis for my 3 stars. The food was extremely bland and«basic» to say the least. With each bite I thought to myself«I could make this 10x’s better.» However, I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt in that I only ordered from the bar style menu during happy hour. I wouldn’t recommend going to Carlucci’s if you’re looking to be blown away by food. I probably won’t be back to have anything to eat. If you want to have a drink during happy hour from 4 – 6 and enjoy the weather, I would say go for it.

Came here for the first time tonight. This place is a hidden gem! We entered the restaurant to a big crowd. The ambiance is elegant and there was a pianist playing music throughout the entire night! My favorite part of dinner was the tiramisu… The best I’ve ever had! I would recommend checking out this places daily specials and happy hour. We will be back!

Sunday before the lunch crowd is a great time to visit. I can imagine when the weather is nice, this is a great place to sit out by the water. I had pasta and it was great, my date had the flounder and stated the same. Price and Service was perfect.

Carlucci’s Waterfront was a nice surprise. It was our first time there although we have eaten at their other restaurants. They are under construction but don’t let that stop you from eating there. It looks as though they are adding a second level. The view is lovely, food is excellent and the service was absolutely perfect. We had clams, mussels, fried calamari, salmon, mahi mahi, veal and prime rib. Our appetizers and meals were excellent. One person in our party requires gluten free meals. They have quite a few gluten free choices in appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Our server, Anthony gave us impeccable service. We will be back and look forward to sitting outside on their patio and enjoying the view of the creek.

The night we went, the Lobster Bisque tasted like flour, the garlic smashed potatos were cold and the fillet was over-priced. Over all 1 start out of 5. Been there twice; both disappointments. Tried Mama’s on the corner of Marne Highway and Crystal Ave; now, here’s genuine Italian food.

My husband and I decided to try Carlucci’s last Sunday for dinner. I had read the reviews before we went and had good expectations. Outdoor area is. nice but crowded so we chose to eat indoors which is a bit outdated. Prior to arriving we looked at their menu online and were excited. Apparently they have a summer menu and weekend menu which is extremely limited and the options we chose from online menu were not available so it was immediate disappointment. We tried to remain optimistic and chose to order the Lasagna and bronzini. Both were reasonably priced. My husband enjoyed his fish but said the portion and sides were lacking in size and flavor. The lasagna was terrible but a huge portion and my husband was starving after his so he ate the rest of mine. We agreed, we would definitely not return.

Always a nice place to go if you want ambiance. Great view of the river and lovely stone patio with tables umbrellas. There are even misters for hot days. Food is okay, but a little expensive for what you get — but again, we go for the view. Entrees come with bread – hard, bruschetta – yum, and a very boring salad.

So pleased at the meal we had here for my friends birthday. I had the oysters which were lightly breaded with a side of angel hair in marinara. My friend loved the seafood cannelloni and thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband had the chicken Vesuvius and enjoyed that as well. The chocolate thunder cake topped off my friends meal and she declared it fabulous. Our waitress, Marisa, was very helpful and added to our enjoyment of the celebration. We will be back

I came here with my friend for the seafood, and I had a great time! In fact, the seafood here is better than some seafood restaurants by the ocean in NJ. We came here around May, so the weather was very nice! They have a beautiful patio with a serene waterfront, so we had outside. I have to say that it was a little windy that day, and napkins and things were getting blown off the table! Nonetheless, we had a very enjoyable afternoon due to the relaxing ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious seafood. We started with ½ dozen raw oysters and fried calamari. The oysters were very fresh and tasty while the calamari was very flavorful and crispy with an even batter-to-calamari proportion! In addition, I got an apple martini that looked simple with no aesthetic garnish, but just one sip hit me like a boulder! It was STRONG! and perfect for a relaxing afternoon! After the appetizers, our main courses were followed with cocktail shrimps and coconut shrimps! I feel like shrimps never go wrong at restaurants. In fact, they were very tasty, but I was already full from the appetizers! Just a note: I feel like the crowd is more on the older side like 45+ or maybe it happened to be the time of the day I went.
