A few months ago, I purchased an item from Wine Enthusiast and the item was fine. My issue is that they have been sending emails everyday. I’ve unsubscribed over 10 times and still receive the same type of solicitations. I’m not sure what others think, but any company who doesn’t take you off a list is obviously desperate. Unfortunately, my attorneys are in the process of filing suite in order for them to stop sending emails. In other words, Wine Enthusiast carries some of the same products as other vendors on Amazon. My recommendation is to buy from someone who respects your privacy and is not desperate to make another sale.

I’m surprised to see these negative reviews, I bought a wine cooler from them over ten years ago. It was a very pleasant experience ‚& it’s still working fine. Sadly, the home I’m moving to is to small to accommodate the cooler, so I’m buying a new one. It was a very pleasant, no pressure transaction, with a very knowledgeable, salesman.

I have had extensive experience purchasing from the Wine Enthusiast. Each and every one was four-star or better. Perhaps I have been lucky, and no, I am not a relative, employee of, or associated with WE in any way. First purchase was a 68 bottle Eurocave. Handled by Dave, discounted for the sale price and free delivery. Arrived on time, delivered to the basement spot where it sits, five years later running like a top. And yes, the filter replacements are overpriced. Read an Amazon review for an inexpensive alternative. Second purchase, two years later was a larger Eurocave. A 172 bottle unit. Sits next to the first, issue free. Then we needed racking for an emergency restaurant reno. Dave again. Handled perfectly, delivered next day. Today, a decanter and a wine bag, including brining inventory out of the warehouse to examine. Not Dave, but terrific nonetheless. Both purchases completed with a smile. Have spent more than a lot here — all good. Just do your homework. If you buy cheap crap anywhere it will disappoint.

I both am and am not surprised at the bad reviews of Wine Enthusiast. I bought one of their 12 bottle counter top wine coolers from Amazon. The ad stated that the cooler was«silent». I put the fridge on the kitchen counter next to our full size refrigerator and when I plugged it in I could clearly hear the fan running from across the room on my couch in the living room. It was about as loud as our regular refrigerator. Certainly loud enough to annoy me. The fan in the fridge runs constantly only speeding up or slowing down if the unit needs to cool or not. I called Wine Enthusiast just to check if this was normal and was told that something must be wrong because the fan should only be audible if you’re standing right next to the unit. I was told that a new fridge would be sent to me. Within a day or two I received an e-mail telling me that my fridge was ready and I would receive a second e-mail with tracking number when it shipped. A couple of more days went by and no second e-mail. I sent an e-mail asking for status and was told that it should ship the next day. Another week or so went by and still no shipping e-mail. I e-mailed again and was told that the rep had looked in the warehouse and saw my fridge with a shipping label on it ready to go. More days went by and still no confirmation e-mail. I called Wine Enthusiast again and asked what the delay was. This time I was told that the unit has just gotten in stock and would be shipping soon. I was a bit upset. More because I was basically lied to about the fridge being ready to ship. I told the rep, «Look if you were back-ordered you should have just told me that in the first place instead of giving me the run-around.» I did receive the new fridge about a week later and it is indeed quieter than the original unit. Still not what I would call silent but it is quiet enough that it doesn’t bother me like the first one did. So all in all it took about a month to get the replacement cooler. Not a huge deal but it did take way longer than it should have. The good news is that when I asked how they wanted me to return the old fridge they said, «Just keep it.» So customer service was a bit of a pain to deal with but in the end they did right by me. I am a happy Wine Enthusiast customer.

I would warn anyone looking to purchase a wine cooler from them DON’T purchase their own brand that they import. I purchased 2 Infiniti wine coolers for a few thousand dollars. They stopped working after 4 years but the worst part is you can’t get them repaired because they have no parts for them. When I contacted the Wine Enthusiast about it they said they would give me 10% off my next one. Big deal I am out thousands after 4 years. Buy a brand name its more money but it will work for years and you’ll be able to get it serviced if needed.

Ordered an expensive wine credenza from them and purchased extended warranty. Had the credenza about a year when one of the units started making a noise. I called and within minutes the representative stated they would ship out a replacement module. They said it would be approximately 15 business days and I would receive a call from shipper to arrange delivery. Didn’t hear anything for several weeks so I called back and was told the item had been on back order but was in and would be shipped on expedited shipping and would receive in a week. It didn’t come so I called back, no record of my previous call but they checked and said yes it was in and would ship and apologized for inconvenience. The week went by no shipment. Called back, no record of my last calls and was told it was on back order for another month. Person I spoke to last time had conveniently just left for lunch. This getting ridiculous!
