I used Check Mark for my home inspection and radon testing for a new home purchase. They are excellent and go above and beyond what is required. They were very patient and detail oriented, telling me what was up to code and not along with what really matters and what didn’t. I received a 90+ page home inspection report with photos, which will be a great reference guide for the next several years as we make incremental updates and improvements to our house. Jeff was very flexible as we did not have electric power during the inspection (the seller’s broker stopped paying ConEd). He finished our inspection 2 days later when also picking up the radon cans. This speaks to his level of professionalism and working through unforeseeable issues.

Jeff and Steve were consummate professionals. They spent 3.5 hours meticulously going through the house inspection and provided an extremely comprehensive report to us extremely quickly (48 hours). They were also very amiable and quickly responded to the questions we had. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, we definitely got value for money.

The guys do a great job with the inspection and are VERY thorough. They are eager and willing to answer any questions you have, and the level of knowledge they have in their trade is excellent. I am not sure how their rate compares to others in the area, but I would recommend them in a heartbeat. The inspection is a very crucial process, and they gave us the information we needed and will reference for years to come as we update our new home.

I’m in the process of buying a four family house that was built in 1860, so I needed good inspectors. Jeff and Steve did not let me down. The comprehensive report they provided will be my guide to fixing up the house, and it helped in negotiating the purchase. We needed to have a property inspected at the last minute. Jeff was flexible and let us know that he was in the area and would make the time for us. When he arrived, he was both very thorough and personable. Jeff answered all of our questions and took the time to go through every nook and cranny. Even our broker made the comment that nobody that she worked with took this long to inspect the house like Jeff did. To the potential buyer, this is a GOOD thing. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt I owed it to Jeff and Steve after the thorough and professional inspection they did on a house I am buying. Their report is thorough, arrived within 24 hours of my inspection being completed, and was loaded with vivid pictures that will save me a ton of money off of the purchase price. You’ll pay a little more for CheckMark, but $ 100 is well worth the added peace of mind of having a thorough home inspection performed by a couple of really friendly and entertaining guys. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with Check Mark.

My friend recommends Check Mark Services to me when I was looking for home inspectors. They charge higher for the inspection based on the footage of the house but you got way more than what you pay! They spent half day together on my 2500 sqft house and performed a very professional and thorough inspection; and they offered me a lot useful tips and suggestions on how to improve the condition of the house during the walk through. They got many professional equipments and didn’t miss any spot, took photos of everything and it took a little longer for the report (48 hours) but again, the report is such a treasure that you will definitely keep it as a life saver when you own the house. Highly recommended especially for aged houses and first home buyer. Last, Jeff and Steve are the best! Not just «one of»! Period.
