First timer… came in for a consult with Jess for a color correction. She listened to what I said, asked questions, gave me feedback and we discussed a plan to get my hair back to the color I wanted and healthy again. I was all set to book an appointment with her when she had a cancellation! I was able to get my color correction and kerastase deep conditioning done right there and then. The color came out amazing! It has dimension and shine and feels so much better. She literally renewed my confidence! I’m looking forward to getting it cut by her and following up with the color and treatments. The front desk was professional and nice. Great experience!

Do not get your hair colored or cut at Billy’s. He used a color on mine to get the few gray hairs out and my hair came out with an orange tint, he said he would put in some highlights to correct the problem at no cost, but then when I tried to make another appt. the receptionist asked Billy and said there would be yet another charge. This place is way overpriced and Billy charges even more money if you request him to do your hair. He does not listen and cuts your hair anyway he wants. He also is preoccupied with his own personal phone calls and conversations while he has you in his chair. This guy’s ego is inflated just like his prices.

I have been going to Billy for approximately 3 years. He does a terrific job and I enjoy the conversation while I’m getting cleaned up. The team at Billy’s is always professional and accommodating.
I highly recommend the salon and Billy himself!

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Billy’s. I have curly hair and you can not get a better curly hair cut than by Vanessa. Trained at NYC’s curly hair mecca, Vanessa is expert at cutting and styling curly hair. She is also a dream to work with, so that’s a bonus. The salon is low key and friendly, they try and make things happen, including last minute appointments. Get an NYC experience at Westchester prices.

We just got our hair done at Billy’s for my friend’s wedding and I was extremely disappointed in the outcome. My hair is an angular chin-​length bob; when I told the stylist I wanted all of my hair to be up, she told me it wasn’t possible (meanwhile my own stylist was able to put it up the week before), but that she would «do what she could.» It looked beautiful when it was done, but within 20 minutes of just sitting there, it started coming undone. I had the stylist fix it twice and she sprayed it with «super strong» hairspray. Well, the entire bottom of my style fell out by the time I walked to my friend’s car! We were short on time, so I couldn’t go back to have her do it a FOURTH time. By the time we got to my friend’s house, the style was a mess and I had pins falling out all over the place: come to realize, the stylist didn’t even use bobby pins to pin it up, but she used hair pins instead. My best friend did a better job fixing it than the «professional» did.
I’d also like to add that they tried to charge us more than what they quoted the bride. When I asked why my style was the same price as a girl who had much longer hair and who also took 2x the time to style, the girl said «well, it doesn’t matter how long your hair is.» Since when?! Save the stress and don’t book Billy’s if you’re going to a special event!

Overpriced, washed-​up, has been. Billy is long over due for another day time job. Don’t trust him with you hair because he’s likely to chop off much more than you care to lose. And don’t for a minute thinks he cares. He’s arrogant and indifferent and not worth your time let alone his over priced services.

I am so thrilled with this salon! I had a first class experience without paying a first class price.
Everyone I spoke to was pleasant, helpful, and friendly. They were able to give me an appointment quickly, and exactly when I wanted, even though I was calling at the last minute and needed to see a curly hair specialist.
My stylist, Vanessa, is my new best friend! She asked questions about what I liked and disliked, and actually listened to the answers. She took her time with the cut, and made sure I was happy every step of the way. She suggested products, but was never pushy or tried to tell me I HAVE to buy something.
I’m not even exaggerating when I say that this is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! The whole experience was amazing and I will definitely be back!

I went to Billy’s for the first time yesterday and I definitely plan to go back. Donna did a great job. My color is gorgeous. And the haircut is exactly what I wanted. I would have given 5 stars, except the place was lacking in «pampering» perks. Also they do not have a manicurist, so you can’t get a pedicure while having your hair done — a favorite time-​saver for me. All in all, I no longer need to go into Manhattan for a top-​notch hair styling.
