This is a great dojo with a wonderful community and deep camraderie. Not only is Marc Abrams Sensei an excellent and caring teacher and very capable martial artist, he is a direct student of one of O-Sensei’s last uchi deshi, so the lineage is very direct. Abrams Sensei and the student body are serious martial arts practitioners who stive to continuously raise the level and depth of practice and to teach the art at all levels, working on both the internal and external aspects. The dojo is a very welcoming environment for kids, families, and adults.

This little dojo is a gem. It’s walking distance from metro north and has ample parking. Right away I was greeted as if I was family. The students there are friendly and welcoming. The instructor is very knowledgeable and teaches to each individual’s ability. I learned so much on my first day. Will be back definitely!

Sensei Marc Abrams is a knowledgeable, serious, martial artist and a high caliber instructor who teaches not only the techniques, but the principles that make the techniques work. There is a dedicated core of serious, helpful senior students and a safe and fun environment. The instruction is high quality, and filled with laughter. I’ve been practicing martial arts for over 20 years and have never enjoyed it more or found it as challenging and rewarding as I have since I’ve started training here.
