It’s a decent dog park situated in a really bad spot — directly under high-voltage power lines. There’s even a warning sign on the gate saying it can cause cancer! The first year or so wasn’t too bad, but starting last summer it seemed like the EMF shocks had increased in intensity. There’s no reason to go here considering the other dog parks in the area. Be safe, stay away!!!

Nice park with the exception of the overhead power lines. My child my dog and myself were getting electrocuted constantly. My dog started jumping around and acting like he was getting stung around the neck. When I grabbed him to see for myself I also felt that I was being bitten or stung when I was touching him. Then my daughter told me that everytime she took a step it felt like she was stepping on a needle. Great park but clearly has stray voltage from the overhead power lines. We won’t be going back.

Decent dog park in Mt. Juliet. I really like the separate areas. There are much bigger dog parks that don’t have that. No complaints here :)

we have taken our border collie to this park several times. we wondered about the fact that touching your dog can cause a shock to the dog and yourself. our dog suddenly started limping while running in the park and then he layed down and would not run anymore. we found that the pad of his foot had the outer skin coming off as if he had been shocked and it came out his paw. I would suggest caution when taking pets to this park, there is a shock hazard there and I would not want anyone’s do to get shocked badly. we only hope it did not go thru his heart and cause any damage. we did take him to vet to check on the limp and the paw and got meds for his paw. we will never take him back to that park. that was not the first time we had noticed the shock and we know that many other patrons notice the shock to their pets and themselves when they are there. it does not seem safe to us and we will not return. it has been known for some time that high power electric lines are dangerous to lives and this further proves that this park has problems with electric shock to pets and people. we are contacting city officials with this to see what action they will take to protect others who want to enjoy the park. on the other occasions our dog loves the park and the interaction with the other dogs but unfortunatly he will no longer get to go there to play. sorry for the bad news about this park, it could be a nice one if there was no shock hazard.

Nice dog park in a residential neighborhood. Friendly dogs and people. I liked that they had a big and small dog section but I took my little dog to the large dog section because there was no one at the small park. It was clean. Muddy from the weather but that is to be expected. Its nice they have a playground next to dog park for parents to be in dog park while the little ones play. I didn’t have a problem with getting schocked from the electrical system above. We will be back.

I was looking for a dog park to take my furry friends and this one is closest to where I live. There is plenty of space for my puppies to run. Sadly, too many ppl do not clean up after their dogs. Anytime other owners are there, I always see people cleaning up. Just be careful when you walk. The previous review that said«You really have to be careful reaching down and touching dogs while under them as you will give yourself and the dog quite a jolt of electricity.» is absolutely right. However the area is now completely covered with grass. The park gets busy weekend morning but my puppies often have the area to themselves in the evening. It helps them(and me) sleep at night.

Things have improved dramatically since the last review. The park is lovely and completely covered with grass. There is more than one water station for the dogs. I saw no feces laying about. We were not unceremoniously shocked, though there is a warning about the power lines for people with pacemakers and pregnant women. The rest of the park is also well kept and very pretty. We will definitely be back.

I was looking for a dog park close to Hermitage and googled this and headed over. It’s located really close to the Providence shopping center off Belinda pkwy and shares parking with the park itself. The area behind the dog park borders a creek/swampy area and has large 500kv power lines directly overhead. You really have to be careful reaching down and touching dogs while under them as you will give yourself and the dog quite a jolt of electricity. The area right now is only half seeded tho this may change as the weather warms. Right not the water is off so you better bring water for your dog if you plan on staying a bit. The only thing inside the fenced area to entertain the animals is 3 cement culverts for them to jump on. There are 2 benches to sit on but they are in the bare ground area and it will be muddy if it has rained recently. The area from the parking lot to the park itself is littered with animal waste and it appears this may be an «alibi» area and people feel they don’t have to clean up after their dogs in this area. what a shame. Overall it is a marginal park but is the only dog park in the area so it draws quite a few people in the evening and weekends. There are not any pooper scoopers as I’ve seen in other dog parks and only doggy bags provided for waste, please clean up behind yourself.
