Delightful way to spend a summer evening. Very accommodating box office, helpful on phone. Small 10 row theater so not a bad seat in the house. Very reasonable prices. Saw«Red” – very well acted and produced. Don’t miss this gem of a place.

We saw a play called«UNNECESSARYFARCE» and it was awful. I’ve seen better high school productions. Now, much of the blame does go to the script(which was lame), but most of the acting was just not very good. There were two players worth mentioning(in a cast of six), but now I can’t find their photos or names on the theatre’s web site(one played a Scottish gangster and the other played a security hound). Hate to pan community theatre, but I’ve been there and this was sub-par.

My wife and I come to ART every time we are on MDI. Last year, the day after driving 12 hrs, we went to see«Shipwrecked». While primarily a children’s performance, it was beyond excellent. Just what our exhausted minds really needed. The«special effects» were wonderful, a harkening back to olde-time theater: simple, done by the cast. We see a great deal of Philadelphia and NYC theater, but this was one of my most enjoyable theater experiences ever. Thank you.
