Flying Rabbit Sporting Clays

What a great a experience. Was on a road trip heading home to New Jersey and saw the sign while driving by. I was there with my boyfriend and his two teenaged kids — none of us had ever shot before. Danny took us out, showed us what to do and was incredibly patient and encouraging. Afterward he indulged us by taking a bunch of pics and even gave us some suggestions for other things to do in the area. Great experience — would highly recommend it!

I took my 13 year old daughter to The Gun Range a few days ago and the guy who was working told me to bring my family here. What a friendly place! It was our first time clay shooting and we will definitely be back on our next trip out. We stayed at one station to get the hang of things. Next time we will move around.

This place is really amazing. The staff is really friendly and very wise and professional with with what they are doing.
Our nice point person took all the time in the world to teach the basics; to teach me about safety I it was just really really good.
We had options about the guns we could shoot and advise us appropriately about the differences.
. it is a little bit far from Washington DC but is definitely worth to include in any trip to the Shenandoah valley.

We took a group of 10 people here for a bachelor party and everything from start to finish was amazing.
They call it trap shooting, we called it shotgun golf, either way it is a blast.
We had a group of half people who shot before, half had never shot before in their life, by the end everyone was an expert and everyone was hooked.
Wish we had a place like this in Northern Virginia. Will definitely be back. Laid back and perfect for a large group.

First time shooting clay targets & shotguns. VERY friendly staff! Very helpful. They provide ears and eyes if you don’t bring your own. $ 30/​person (the gf surprised me with this outting) for a one hour lesson which includes everything you need. Brian, our teacher, was very friendly and was very helpful. We got to shoot at 3 different stations and even got my gf to hit a target from the hard station. If you’ve ever wanted to try shooting clay targets, I would definitely recommend coming to this place! I would go again and I live out in Richmond. Overall a fun experience. Would definitely recommend going!

This shooting range is located within minutes off the highway, which makes it very accessible if you are on Route 81. Our group consisted of both experienced and novice shooters and we all had a great time. We arranged to have lessons from Rick who is friendly and patient and gives you instructions so you will be successful! We did not try all 16 stations but there is enough variety to keep you intrigued and challenged. I have never been to a shooting range to compare but still felt that the setup at Flying Rabbit was great. They supply a cart for you to carry the rifles and bullets.
This is a fun activity with a friend, partner and family! Bring ear plugs but they do have some if you don’t bring your own.
