Good pizza, steak and cheese was fair(for the best steak and cheese, go to Kosy Corner) — just wish J & P ‘s delivered

NOTE: The J & P on the corner of 27&26 is now on its own. This is only for the location off 27 near 70 in the shopping center. Picked up a large order. Everything was ready on-time and well packed. As with most places, the wings aren’t hot enough for me but they were very good. The fried mushrooms were amazing and even though I didn’t eat any, the shrimp in the order of shrimp scampi were HUGE!!! The servers were very pleasant and polite. If the prices were a tad more reasonable, 5 stars for sure.

It was my Moms birthday, and she picked J&P because of their calzones. They seated 10 of us at about 430p, and the service was wonderful. They constantly filled our drinks, the food was quick for such a large order. I ordered the Chef Salad, and I couldn’t finish it. Their calzones are large enough I think everyone had food to take home. Their pizza is also really good, I’ve had it & the steak n cheese in the past. The 10 of us, appetizers, no dessert, was $ 125 plus tip.

Used to be our«go to» restaurant… probably because way back then Mount Airy didn’t have many other choices? I have only had 4 things here… the pizza, the strombolli, the meatball/cheese sub, and the fries. All of those things are really good.

Pizza is really good. But the mozzarella sticks tasted like they were microwaved. Alfredo was tasteless.

Pretty damn expensive if you ask me. I stick to King’s or Rocky’s as they are cheaper and a little bit better. That’s not to say it’s bad pizza; in fact it’s decent, but I guess it has to appeal to those rich Carroll or Howard County snobs to charge $ 12 for a medium cheese pizza with no extras. Parking is a sock-fuck as well competing with Wallyworld and Safeway for parking. Oh, and don’t get me started about those jerk-ass peckerheads coming out of that message parlor either. Hair cause they had a happy ending doesn’t mean you will this this pizza.

The best Pizza in the Frederick area. Don’t even bother with other places. I’m a dirty Italian who’s tried all the Pizza around and this is as good as Pizza comes in a 100 mile radius of Frederick. They have lots of other stuff but the Pizzas too good to go with anything else

the tomato sauce — meh the subs — don’t bother. Jersey Mikes is right next door and SOMUCHBETTER. the pizza — not the best in town. i’d rather go to pizza hut or order papa johns. but honestly ledo’s has the best pizza on the planet anyway. over the years, i’ve learned that if i drain my salad onto a plate or the lid of my dressing cup before i pour all the dressing on it, it mitigates the risk of the dressing being washed off in the pool of water in the bottom of the bowl. my mother in law, when she was living, used to have the same problem with her spaghetti. she would have to drain all the water out of the bottom of the bowl(i mean REALLY, HOW hard is it to drain pasta???) and ask for extra sauce on the side. speaking of water, it tastes like mold. seriously, check the plumbing!!! i cant order iced tea or water because of it, so i’m forced to order the flat soda. can’t understand why, they were renovated a few years ago after a fire. and memories and jersey mikes dont have a problem. perhaps they should investigate. the cream of crab soup is pretty good(when it’s hot enough) and has a decent amount of crab in it. the alfredo is good, although it needs salt. the portion is too big. if you take it home and try to reheat it the sauce breaks and it’s nothing but oil. for this reason, i’ve started to order the child size portion and grab the salt shaker.

I love this place! I’ve been going here since I was a kid! I highly recommend the pizzas and the strombolis!

This resturant is the best Italian in town. As a transplanted New Yorker, I can vouch for the food as authentic and reasonably priced. The pizza is outstanding.

This place has gone down hill over the past few years. I’ve been coming here for years and have been happy with the service(usually) and the food for the price, but it seems like the kitchen’s standards have been dropping especially with pasta dishes which all now seem to be just reheated fare from the microwave. Frank — get a grip on this place again!!! Pizza and subs are good cause they are made to order, everything else tastes like re-heated left overs.

Quite possibly the worst food I have ever tried to eat. Seriously, smelled great when I walked in. But that was the last positive thing that happened. I ordered a Greek salad. Iceberg, plenty of feta, but it was without taste. Bland, blah, meh. Little did I know that it would be my lunch. I ordered the special. Eggplant Parmigiana sub. I’d was big and loaded with cheese and sauce. I bit into the sub, careful to not spill sauce on my shirt. And then the stench hit me. The soggy, gelatinous eggplant smelled somewhere between the bottom of an old garbage can and a backed up inner city sewer. When I let the waitress know that I didn’t like it, she immediately said, «I’ll let them know. They usually make it fresh every Tuesday.» Strange. I go hadn’t mentioned that it tasted rotten. Just that I didn’t like it. Also, no apology. She did take it off the bill. While I hate trashing mom & pops, this was a terrible experience. You need to know.

Big portions, good service, fast. Kids meals a little pricey but good size. so consider having little ones share.

It’s alright. A good choice for someone who just needs food in their stomach. Sauce, cheese and crust are all forgettable. Someone said this is a step above Pizza Hut and that is the best way to put it, in my opinion. That is true across the board for us as even the wings were mediocre. Whoever is the first business to put a decent takeout/delivery pizza place in Mount Airy/Urbana area is going to make a killing. Dominos, Milo’s, Kings, all are subpar and not worth it.

So the staff is very friendly. Especially Maria. She has served me quite a few times and I can’t help but compliment her extreme care and passion for serving the customer. The food is tasty. Just the right amount of meat to toppings on the subs. I only wish they wouldn’t deep fry the bacon. But that’s a mere preference… A beautiful dining area and great prices. Such wow. Much taste.

Just moved to Mount Airy and can see this being our go-to spot for italian or for wanting to get out of the house and not go far. We haven’t dined in yet but we’ve carried out a few times. Its not fancy italian but the food is always tasty and you get a ton for your money. The restaurant has been crowded every time we’ve carried out. We ordered a supreme Stromboli once but got plain cheese instead. The restaurant made note of my name and the next supreme Stromboli was on them. I was pleasantly surprised when I called back 2 weeks later and they had it noted without any issue. If only they delivered!

Three and a half stars for neighborhood grub. Simple food at suburban portions and prices. One entrée and one side was enough food for 3 meals on a moderate to conservative appetite. Side salad alone had me almost full. The garlic and butter ratio on the garlic bread was okay. Thick steak fries were cooked through the gravy was pretty bland. The most bougie thing on the menu was the chicken abruzzi special, which I’d get again in a heartbeat: creamy and flavorful with cuts of tender asparagus.

$ 6.50 domestic pitchers for happy hour. Crust has a slight chew and lightly crisp. The sauce has a good balance of sweet, spicy, and richness. Order extra cheese and indulge

Good food. Great prices. This is my place to eat when in Mt. Airy. I grew up in Philly. Love sandwiches, especially served with chips. I love their sandwiches — with chips!

A solid 4 stars… Pretty good pizza place. Has a great environment and the servers are real nice. Also, has a sports bar feel and is a great place to watch a game if you are in the mood for pizza, beer, and football. The pizza is good, but not great. It’s sort of laughable that they think this is New York Pizza. However, there are so many options and so many different types of pizza. If you don’t want pizza there are plenty of other options like calzones, sish and chips, etc. This place is really close to my Fathers house so whenever I’m up in Mt. Airy this is our go to place for pizza. I have always enjoyed coming here and it’s got a great atmosphere. Go to New York J&P pizza and you won’t be disappointed.
