Great little fabric shop tucked away on Main Street of Mount Airy. The winning feature of this store is price. For a lot of the fabrics, it is priced per pound. I got enough fabric to make two shirts and a long dress for only $ 5. There is a wide array of materials, from lightweight cotton fabrics to knits to suedes and velvets to heavy home decorating fabric. There is also a whole section of ribbons and rick-rack at very affordable prices. You can easily spend an hour in this store! The three main setbacks of this store are 1) While there is a lot of fabric, they don’t always have the exact fabric you are looking for in the color/pattern you want. So you have to come in here with an open mind as to what projects you will do with the fabric. 2) You don’t always know what material the fabric is, so taking care of it may be a mystery and 3) Often the pieces are odds and ends(sometimes very long ones though), so you may find a fabric you love, but not have enough for your desired project. Still, don’t let those small roadblocks prevent you from visiting. For people who love sewing and crafting, this store is a gold mine!
