Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Called to order take out/delivery. Was told they deliver. Great! After I gave our order and my credit card info I was transferred to a manager who told me they wouldn’t deliver because we didn’t order«meals». I told her to make the order«meals» or round it up by $ 50. She then said she had to talk to the driver because we were out of their delivery range(2.4 miles away). When I questioned this she hung up on me. Called back and asked for the name of the owner and got hung up on again.

OMG! Let’s start off by saying that this place needs to focus on the food because everything was bland and tasted like, well nothing. The few tomatoe bits and cilantro couldn’t save the tacos. I understand that this is Mound and this is probably the best they can do. So, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered the shredded beef taco, pork taco, and the chicken taco. For some odd reason, I got all shredded beef; no biggie. First thing I noticed was that the shredded beef was very chunky and not shredded at all. I continued to open up the container of sauce(green and red) and noticed that there was only enough for one taco per sauce provided, Big disappointment!!! The corn tortilla itself while trying to pick it up broke into pieces; thats probably why authentic restaurants use two tortillas verses one. The tacos with the very little sauce were edible but the others that did not have any sauce had to be thrown in the trash. Each taco was $ 2.89 +tax, and these were you average size tacos. For the money and what I’ve spent I will now make my own at home. I would not recommend this place at all. SORRYPORTA, but you have to realize that you are not doing well and all the other 4 or 5 stars that you got are probably personal buds of yours. make your own tacos at home!

I love Mexican food, I will try any place no matter how bad it looks on the outside. I live near Porta Del Sol and have eaten there twice. The food is worse than Taco Bell and without the good prices and fast service. We all know Taco Bell is not authentic Mexican, but we expect it. This place is just bad, I don’t know what else to say.

It seemed everything was fresh out of the microwave… While we were waiting for our meal… That’s all we heard, the microwave door opening & closing and lots of beeping. No clattering of pots and pans… And the food was extremely hot(out of the microwave hot) and very dry. Very disappointing was really looking forward to authentic Mexican food… But this is not the restaurant

Yah! Great locally owned Mexican food. Very cozy. If you’d like a little mini-Mexico vacation in the middle of the dark cold winter, this is a good option.

This was a surprise for our family. We were returning from a hotly contested game of mini golf and decided to stop. We were not sure what we would find, being that Mound is more on the«small town Midwest» side as opposed to the«West Metro» region. We found incredibly friendly people, a 1948TV set, all kinds of other stuff on the walls and very authentic and fresh Mexican food. Yes, they also have hamburgers plus mac and cheese for the finicky under 10 crowd. We will be back.

Great Mexican food, the chorizo was tasty and spicy. Huevos Rancheros were like a Mexican eggs benedict, very good. Coffee and tea came in a pot with unlimited refills. Service is very friendly. They even have a gluten free menu and everything is prepared from scratch so they are able to ensure gluten free. Juanita the cook is from Juanowato near Leon(sorry don’t know the spelling), no wonder why the food is so good! Cute Spanish décor and nice clean ladies room too!
