In keeping with my long standing tradition of looking for GOODBARBQ, I hate to drive the 45 minutes fromTallahassee to try them. The hours have been posted in a picture on Unilocal, follow it becoz they are not always open. I always gets ribs, chicken, potatoes salad and beans … They give you THREE ribs with the dinner. they are tasty and have a nice pull but they are still tender. The chicken is better than average. They are experienced. The white meat is not dry and has a nice smokey taste to it. Beans & potato salad are both a little above average … They could NOT get a 5 because the sauce was spread on the meat … it was ok It tasted like Kraft’s and was not special at all. I wouldn’t make a special trip for it but if I was anywhere close and they were open … I would NOT hesitate at all to make a detour. It’s only 15 minutes from Valdosta …

Family place – hard to come by like this anymore. The rib plate is where it’s at – three huge ribs, a few bites of baked beans, and a piece of Texas toast fully full and(unapologetically) with sauce all over her face and hands. Local police dined in, a teen in Spurs got BBQ cheese fries to go, and a preppy 20-something picked up Q for her friends. Something to make everyone happy. Loved the simple interior and friendly service. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.‘s «The Dream of Change» poster on one wall complemented the Ten Commandmets on another wall.

The Miller Family has been putting out real southern BBQ for a long time in the tiny town or Morven Ga. Easy ride West from Valdosta to get some killer home grown BBQ. Make no mistake Millers is into BBQ and not a fancy building. Building is old. Dining room is very simple. But walk in and the smell hits ya. That smell of real BBQ! Ribs, chicken, pulled pork, it’s ALL good. Make it a double and stop by the Morven Peach a Stand afterwards for some delicious homemade peach ice cream :) if you have an event coming up Millers will travel to you! Great catering by a very friendly family :)

Tasty barbecue chicken, ribs and pork… I liked the pulled pork best. Green beans and potato salad were also quite good. Just a short scenic drive from the Valdosta exit of I-75. Dinner for 6 was $ 65 including tip.

My whole family ate here for lunch today, and everyone liked their meal. Great smokey ribs, and fried chicken. All the sides were great also. This is a surprise to find good southern food in such a small place. The service was good and friendly. 45.$ family of five for Sunday buffet.

i kept looking out of the window expecting guy fieri to pull up to film an episode of douche-bag, diners and dives. luckily, he must have been filming an apple bees commercial that day. miller’s is one of those places you’re only going to find in the(kinda deep) south. i was staying 4 hours south of atlanta, and had to drive another 35 minutes to get to this place. literally on the side of the road, the establishment is made up of a small building, and some serious outdoor bbq equipment. the dining area is as simple as you can get, but really all you want and need for a place like this. i ordered a combo with chicken, pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, and texas toast. everything was ridiculously good, and i believe it cost around $ 10 or $ 11. the service was also extremely nice and accommodating to anything we needed. but this is the norm down in the south. sadly now that i’m back in new york i can only dream about meals this good…
