Subway

Good to have a subway in the local area, this one is very clean and the staff is very friendly, although a bit slow in making your subway, this is compared to seeing people make your sub in seconds in NYC, perhaps not a fair comparison. I’ve only been here in the evenings and there was hardly anyone there. The parking lot is usually empty. There is plenty of seating and an area for sitting outside as well. You know what to expect at SUbway and this location delivers according to expectations.

This locale is ok. It didn’t blow me away but didn’t disappoint, hence the A-​OK rating.
I had no problem getting in and out, despite what other reviews had said. I went during the lunch rush and it’s wasn’t out of hand. The staff didn’t really speak to me. One of my pet peeves are staff who are serve in a customer service role, standing and starting waiting for you to offer what you need. What happened to, «May I help you?».
The order was correct, sandwich was good, no problems noted.

Amazingly, they actually screw up my order pretty frequently. How can Subway screw up an order? You’re standing right there! Basically just don’t look away when they’re making your food; they’ll put the wrong stuff on there. Check the bread to make sure they picked the right one.
Also, this Subway uses day-​old cookies. I used to work at a Subway so I know the difference between fresh and day-​old. This is against their company policy — the cookies are supposed to be made fresh daily however some Subways use the day-​old ones to save money.

It’s hard to rate a restaurant like Subway because I shouldn’t be expecting too much out of it and it’s a national franchise anyway.
I’m usually satisfied with most Subways, nothing much to it right? Well, a couple things to note about this place.
1 — it’s located on 2-​lane Chapel Hill Road. Don’t go here during peak hours because traffic can get backed up and making a left turn out of these place is rather difficult. It’s not usually a problem, but if you have a meeting to get to at 12:30, I wouldn’t recommend this as a first choice.
2 — I like getting my subs toasted every now and then but there was something very wrong with the toaster here on my visit. It heated up the sub like a microwave but left everything kind of cold and soggy. I would have rather had a non-​toasted sub! That’s a big turn off for me.
Otherwise, this Subway is fairly clean and I believe there’s outdoor seating as well.

Always friendly staff prepared to handle your sub order. Today I purchased the turkey on Italian bread, American cheese, mayo, black olives, lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers (iffy), oil & vinegar… not bad tasting, substitued the chips for 2 cookies (yea baby)…
Little expensive for a basic sub… however the service is superb, in and out in minutes and the atmosphere is ok for the few spaces of seating they have.
