There are new owners; it is now called New Polish Nail Bar. Just awful they butchered my big toes so bad they have ingrown nails. The nail tech was clearly new judging by the fact that she did not know how to use the tools. The staff lied when questioned about how long she had her license. Staff that spoke English was rude did not comply with requests but answered yes, yes, yes each time. Will never go back there and I intend to contact state board due to improper sanitation I observed.

Worse shellac job ever. Totally destroyed my natural nails. She made it so thick it made them look like acrylic. Also had «Jennifer» wax my underarms. Ripped my skin. Which makes me believe the «Jennifer» above is really a worker. Never again!!!

AVOID!!! I went to get my eye brows threaded at this location. I have gotten it done probably 17 or 18 times but not at this location. They said they offered threading so I thought «OK». I needed it done. Well yes– they offer it but it the lady had NO idea what she was doing. They are ripped pieces of skin under my eyebrow and the above area is still swollen. They apologized saying they were still learning how to do it and still weren’t sure. I’m thinking…“if you don’t know how to use a needle and thread on someone why are you offering this service.” I ended up spending the night with ointment over my eyebrows. Finally the holes from threading are scabbed over and started to heal. I will NEVER go here again. (My Island Spa and Red Polish are owned by the same people/​same person does threading)

This was a great find. I couldn’t have asked for more on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t busy — which I love! Kim did a great job and the price was right!

UPDATE: The owner sold her business. Go to Red polish nail across the street — they are great! Fastest eyebrow wax I’ve ever had, neat, and only $ 10 — just be sure to bring cash for tip.
I originally tried this place when I got a living social coupon for eyebrow waxes. I have since gotten several waxes including a full leg wax. They are very professional and quick and pain is minimal. They have no problem with working with me if I say it doesn’t look quite how I want it to look.
But most important is that they have never remarked on me being hairy which is something I have run into at other salons! Everyone who works in this salon is super positive and friendly and has always made me feel like an important customer and not like I am wasting their time. I have since recommended them to everyone I can.

My friends and I wanted to get a gel manicure this weekend and stopped by my usual place in the afternoon on Saturday. Unfortunately, we forgot that it’s prom and graduation season so we were told that they wouldn’t have any openings for us that day. We were pretty bummed because our nails were looking pretty ragged and we decided to be adventurous and try something new.
My Island Spa was the only nail place in the vicinity with openings so we gave it a shot. I admit I was pretty hesitant based on the review I saw here but I was pleasantly surprised! The price was $ 30 for a gel manicure which is $ 5 more than my usual place (check my reviews for my usual spot). I think that maybe when Wendy W. bought the coupon it did not include the full manicure but only the polish as they quoted us 2 different prices, one with the manicure services and one without.
They did all of the basic regular services on me but I didn’t get a hand massage (my favorite part of a mani) or a hand scrub. My nails look good and it’s been 6 days so overall I am pretty happy. I prefer my usual place but I would definitely go here again if I need to.

I first started going to this spa about one year ago and I keep going back. They know how to do gel polish well and it lasts about 2 weeks. Pedicure I enjoy too with the hot stones but the messaging could last a bit longer. They have remodeled since I started going there to a very soothing décor.

Purchased a coupon for shellac nail polish. I was very disappointed with services from this salon. While getting nails done had to keep explaining that I wanted my nails round (not pointy). Also they didn’t push cuticles or do any other regular manicure services. Polish is suppose to last for 2 weeks or more but they started peeling and cracking in under a week. After 2 weeks, they nails looked so bad, I was ashamed. Please visit another salon.
