La Quinta Inn & Suites Raleigh Durham Intl AP

This is an update. It took 4 months to battle this establishment for $ 250 they attempted to steal from me by claiming I smoked in their room. The aggressiveness of my company’s credit card agency won the case from me. This establishment most likely accuses out of state clients of this fraud charge dye to the fact there from another state. I’m ensuring my government agency employees stay away from this establishment. I had left numerous phone messages with not 1 return call. This establishment has very poor management. If they charge you $ 250 for smoking and you know it’s a fraudulent charge fight it. I could care less about $ 250, it’s the principal of things.

Outstanding front desk and great value for the money. Really good breakfast too — complimentary. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I cannot think of anything to complain about — which is rare! :-) I’ll be back here again.

As with the other reviews. This is a better than average basic hotel. Nice sized rooms with the needed amenities. Close to the interstate and RDU airport. Breakfast… lower than average. I have had much better breakfasts at Holiday Inn Expresses, Hampton Inns and most of the Choice Hotel brands.
On the plus side… most LQs are pet friendly with no pet fee. My wife and I frequently use LQs just for that. I didn’t see any pets at this hotel, but I might have missed them.

Firmly a 3 star hotel. Room was clean and a good size, like the fridge and microwave that is included, cheap shampoo/​conditioner combo, wifi was good and quick.
Breakfast– ugh. Wish I had gone to Waffle House. Weird coffee, not brewed-​not sure how it is made. Pre made boiled eggs-​eew, bulk cereal, generic sweetener, non-​dairy creamer, artificial butter, bulk milk. All make for a gross breakfast. Best option was the pre packaged oatmeal.
Too chilly for the pool but had a nice view out my window of it.
Hit or miss here.

I was here for a wedding one weekend and I found this hotel to be one of the less expensive (hey, I’m not going to be at the hotel a lot), yet not seemingly sketch-​tastic like the multiple Extended Stays around. Yes, I have stayed at Extended Stays and they’ve been good to me, but the ones in the Raleigh have poor reviews.
Anyway, the room was fine and clean. The area surrounding my room was quiet, so I had no trouble sleeping. Even though the hotel was close to the airport, I didn’t really hear much jet engine noise.
The complimentary breakfast looked skimpy for today’s standards. There were a few generic baked goods, some fruit, limited amounts of yogurt, along with coffee, tea, milk, and juice. The only hot food option was the waffle maker present. All I needed was a banana and yogurt, so I was good. However, you might want to consider the Waffle House down the road for a cheap breakfast.
My friend, the bride, was super sweet to leave me (as one of the out-​of-​town travelers) a nice snack/​drink assortment, so I could actually use that empty mini-​bar (though I didn’t have to use the microwave). My other experiences at La Quinta did not include a microwave or a mini-​bar, so that was a welcomed surprise.
I didn’t try the fitness center; though after a weekend of BBQ, frozen custard, hors d’oeuvres, steak, wedding cake, croissants, and Waffle House… I should have. :-P
Given the price I paid ($ 61.75 a night), this hotel was decent, especially if you don’t want to shell out more $ with neighboring hotels. It gets the job done.
p. s. — *whisper* I heard the La Quinta right next door (talk about confusion) isn’t quite as nice…

Jesse hooked me up fast, efficient and super friendly. Cancelled the res. I had made at wrong hotel and made my day right with some awesome business help regarding an important fax. Bought me some time to relax. Rooms are the best in the area. I’ve stayed at most of them. My highest recommendation. Again thanks!

Be aware that there are multiple La Quintas in the area. You want the newer one across the street. This one is old dirty and smelly. Barley kept!!! I went to the airport 3 hours early rather then stay and eat their food. 1 star is too good.

Stayed here for four days while moving, was an okay experience if you don’t mind being locked out of the room multiple times with two dogs in tow. Room was clean and spacious, would recommend for a traveler.

The La Quinta inn and suites is a hotel I often stay on business. Rooms are clean, and comfortable. The tv default is to a pleasant ocean scene typically reflective of day vs night, not like the movie promoting promos like other hotels. It really is a good hotel, right next to the airport, which yields the usual airplane noise, though the fan when turned on drowns out the noise. It’s close to several fast food places, which being Vegan doesn’t normally bode well. Jersey Mikes down the street can make a vegan meal. Taco Bell even further surprisingly has some vegan options.
I also run, and there are some areas here to run. Lots of office parks around, and a defunct mall across the street. The hotel has a pool which the rooms are surrounded by. It’s outdoor, and seems to be open late in the season. Breakfast is free in the morning, though really few choices for a vegan. Mostly fruit, which is fine.

A $ 50 a night hotel that accepts pets at no extra cost. It is very clean, quiet and safe. Great location to the entire Triangle. It definitely needs new carpet, furniture (although mattresses are definitely new) and skip the unpalatable breakfast bar. WiFI SUCKS it is slower than a sloth

A solid LQ property, conveniently located in a quiet area near RDU and right next to a couple of fast food options. Pretty much what you’d expect from a nicer LQ hotel, with decent rooms, standard breakfast, serviceable gym, and friendly service, all for around $ 75+tax.
I recommend eating at Carmen’s Cuban Café about a quarter mile down the road.

The continental breakfast is malted waffles and cereal dust, nothing healthy. The hotel is barely kept up and the gym equipment is almost 20 years old.

This place was surprisingly nice :) I gave my husband some grief for booking here but it was clean, nice and comfortable. They even provide a daily breakfast and free wi-​fi. We didn’t utilize really any amenities but for the basics it did the trick! (it was chilly and we didn’t stay long). I would stay at one again.

A great hotel for the price! No, it’s not the Ritz, but you shouldn’t expect high-​end service from a hotel that charges $ 77/​night (inc. tax). We stayed here for one night before flying out of RDU, and we actually joked that we wished we could’ve stayed longer. We were given a room on the first floor, right next door to the workout room (fortunately, no noise bc nobody worked out while we were there). The room was large and was not perfectly rectangular, with one angled wall which added some visual interest and distinguished it from your average motel room. It was very clean and nicely furnished — dark greens and rose colors, sort of a regal look. Much better than what you’d expect at this price point. There was a cabinet with both a microwave and a mini-​fridge. A very nice feature was the large, modernly-​curved desk.
We entered our room from the interior hallway, but there was a second door on the opposite wall leading into a very nice central courtyard, with patio chairs and tables and a pool. We didn’t make use of any of this bc it was snowing when we arrived, but it afforded a very pleasant view from our two windows.
The staff was excellent. When we arrived, we still had our rental car, but we wanted to return it that evening so we wouldn’t have to deal with it before our 6 am flight. We explained the situation to the gentleman at the front desk, and he gave us his card and said to call him when we arrived at the Avis lot and he would send the hotel shuttle to pick us up there… we wouldn’t have to take the Avis shuttle back to the airport to catch the hotel shuttle at it’s normal stop. Sure enough, we called from the Avis lot and within a matter of minutes, the La Quinta shuttle pulled up.
We had to leave very early in the morning, but had enough time to grab bagels and OJ from the continental breakfast. The shuttle to the airport left right on time and was hassle-​free.
Overall, very good quality for the money.

Nice staff, clean rooms, small pool, breakfast in the mornings. Some of the rooms have a microwave & refrigerator (which is always good) Close to some decent restaurants. You can walk to them or the hotel shuttle will take you. Cuban, Texas steak house, Hooters or walk across to Wendy’s.

Room was clean, staff was helpful. The room was loud from heater to shower to hallway to bathroom fan to nearby airport and highway. Though on it’s own accord I would give our room only 2 stars, the proximity to RDU Airport, free shuttle service, and free parking up to 10 days made our stay worth the rate.
There are two different La Quinta buildings. We stayed in the older one. I can’t comment on the room quality of the newer building as I didn’t see any rooms.
