You know Ivy Cottage is doing something right since they celebrated 20 years this weekend! With 20% off the entire store, food trucks, prize tables, DJ, corn hole and a $ 10 Unilocal check-​in gift card, you couldn’t help but have a wonderful time! Located in an adorable house (hence cottage) across from the Park West Village complex, Ivy Cottage is any woman’s dream spot. They’re a high end boutique shop with everything from furniture, artwork, holiday decorations, jewelry, planners, fancy kitchen accessories, candles and toiletries to even a small children and just for the pets selection.
I oohed and ahhed over everything and wished it was all my budget! That’s really the only reason I wouldn’t be able to come often, it’s very pricy! But they do have a sale table with some items up to 50% off. I love the feel of Ivy Cottage and the layout. It’s definitely a place to bring your mum or mother-​in-​law. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

Great shop, and just a fun place to browse for a while. I would probably buy more if the prices were a bit lower — this is definitely a high-​end shop. Still, great for an occasional indulgence or when gift giving!

The Ivy Cottage has a lot of very beautiful and elegant home décor items. They always have a nice selection of unusual things that are very high quality. It’s fun to just go in an walk around to see what they have. It’s hard to see everything because they have a lot of things in a small space. Somehow though they do a gorgeous job of arranging things so that it doesn’t look cramped. In addition to home décor, they have jewelry, scarves, shoes, purses, etc. At Christmas time they have a large selection of beautiful Christmas decorations that are 50% after Christmas. Their things can be a bit pricey, but as I said, the quality is high. This is not a consignment shop like the Ivy Cottage in Wilmington, it just happens to have the same name.
They also have one of the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever been in! As with the rest of the store, it is tastefully decorated with items that are for sale!

This truly is the greatest store in the history of anything in Cary. Let me compare my feelings for the store to an analogy:
It is like skating on a rainbow made of angels and pudding, then going to dance party on Jupiter with George Washington and various animals from the Sydney Zoo (We’d be able to breath, of course [And stand, Jupiter is a gaseous planet, as we all know]). Then we’d have an after party with Barbara Streisand and Carrie Bradshaw in Abu Dhabi (Wasn’t Sex in the City 2 the best???), and then have an after after party with Bob Dylan and Marie Curie IN A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM WITHIN A DREAM. Then I’d wake up from those dreams, and dance in a meadow, occupied by tap dancers and Maya Angelou reciting various poems. Then I’d hang with the kids from Charlie Brown, and we’d be so happy that we’d actually die. But we’d die peacefully.
That’s what going to this store is like.

Very very cute stuff. I searched for about 3 solid minutes for a more suitable adjective, and cute just works. Very high quality home furnishings ranging in style from french country to shabby chic all arranged tastefully in this interesting space. Huge overstuffed sofas and chairs, one of a kind dining sets, rugs and home accessories abound. You can easily spend an hour just wandering around mentally decorating.
Scattered about the store are unique gift items which you can have beautifully wrapped right there. One of those places you might drive by a million times while on Cary Parkway and never stop because you can’t really tell what it is from the outside, I had thought it was a little café or something. I strongly suggest next time you have some time to kill, stop in.
