Food was moderate. Ordered chilli pepper corn which is good. And the chicken fried rice was very moderate, not upto the mark. Will try more in my next visit.

The food was awesome. Their sitting and management is too good. I really appreciated. But their service is too much slow and staff doesn’t care us about anything. We should have to ask them for 3 – 4 times for just a things.

My family regularly grabs food to go from here. Primarily because they offer the best bang for your buck in terms of quantity of food while not compromising on flavor of the biryani. I’m a huge fan of the hyderabadi chicken dum biryani in particular. The chicken is always cooked well, albeit with huge bones typically. Even the vegetarian biryani is incredibly delicious. With all of the biryani dishes, they do a great job at tailoring the spice levels to your liking. An additional great thing about this place is that given their big portions, you always have leftovers, and their food reheated the next day tastes even better as the spices settle in.

Tonight’s dinner with four friends was delicious and so affordable. Chicken dish we had was very good — from Tandoori, Butter and Tikka Masala Chicken each was more delicious than the other! We each took home left overs of our meals… eager for lunch tomorrow.

The first thing I want to mention about this place is, that it is darn cheap, and we are now almost regular customer to it. Now, for the first experience, we went there shortly after it opened. The waiters were not ready to handle that many customers, the managers were flustered, and not very welcoming for the customers. BUT… being said that they have come up a long way and definitely a place to eat if you want good food in a moderate price. I took out one star only for the first experience. Coming to the other aspects… Food: As it says biriyani point, their biriyani is great but not exactly up to the mark of Cholanad; but for a quick and regular biriyani craving We are totally down for it. Their other stars of the table is mutton ghongura(a tangy, tasty mutton curry enjoyed best if you had it with naan), chicken mandakini, and definitely mutton pepper fry in the appetizers. Ambiance: Cool, nice atmosphere, and really good locality. But if you are going for a first date, you might want to Unilocal once more. Service: Great, especially if you meet their staff Surendra, he will really take you through what you might like among the traditional Indian flavors. He is poised with really personal and caring attitude not being too intruding. Price: It is the real deal. for two persons’ full course dinner you are looking at a check of $ 50 tops.(I bet you cannot exceed that if you are not planning to stuff yourself more than the double of your eating capacity). I have not seen any thing this cheaper for this quality of food. GOTHEREDEFINITELY. All cheers to their future business.

Bawarchi restaurant is one of the best restaurants in the Morrisville cary area. Everything I go there the wait staff gives me special attention. The food is excellent… I always take chicken 555, and goat kheema dosa which is awesome. One of the servers whose name is Sagar, is always very nice to us. He makes me feel special and treats us with special importance. The entire experience is always good. I love going here for the homely food and excellent service.

Went in to pick up lunch on Wednesday afternoon. Their website and Unilocal lists them as being open at 11, however their recording says they are open at 11:30, they should fix this. We ordered the following: * Chicken 65 — Delicious. Tasted almost exactly like the chicken 65 at Betel(same owners?). * Veg. Dum Biryani — My wife thought it was great, the salan was good as well. * Hyderabadi Goat Dum Biryani — I got this spicy and I loved it. The goat was cooked very well and was tender. It ended up being a little too spicy for me but was very flavorful. * Plain Dosa — Kids scarfed it down. Sambhar was good. I can see how the service resulted in the other reviewers giving this place low stars. They had accidentally given me chicken biryani instead of veg biryani. When I discovered this the person actually asked me if I was sure that I had ordered veg and not chicken, this irritated me because he was the same person who repeated my order back to me on the phone. The problem was fixed in a few minutes so not a big deal. Overall: Tasty food but go in with low expectations about the service.

We regular this place about 2 – 3 times a week. Why? Here are the reasons: 1. Food is tasty. Not exactly Cholanad quality, but good enough to remind us of places we used to eat in the Bangalore(e.g. egg masala, chicken 65, Apollo fish). The spices are just about right(chicken or goat biriyani), maybe a bit on the higher side, but we like it. And for the price, it’s a deal every night. Which brings me to my second point. 2. Price is reasonable. For the quantity of food you get, and the quality of food, this is a no brainer. This place is slightly cheaper than Betel, Saffron, and Dawat. A meal for two can easily be wrapped up for $ 30 with tax, and you will probably be carrying leftovers home. If you are the«order happy» kind, who likes a couple of appetizers as well as a couple meals and a sweet dish in the end, maybe you are looking at $ 50. And a lot of boxes to carry home. 3. Staff is friendly. There are a few reviews about bad customer service, I do not think they are lying. The restaurant went through a phase of self discovery, the place was swarming with people right from the start. The staff was probably overwhelmed. We have been victims of bad customer service here the first couple of times too. However, the good thing is the staff learned from it. They are friendly, with a smile on their face, and know what we usually order. We could probably walk in and ask for the«usual» and get the right food now. We know some of the staff on first name basis — matter of fact, Surendar, always takes care of us right from the moment we walk in. The place is still swarming with people, and wait times are long, for seats as well as for the food. But that’s a good thing, meaning people like to come back and for good reason. So my suggestion — when you visit this place, keep some extra time on your hands, smile a bit, and enjoy the food!!!

So to start with, biryani is one of the best here. Now, the reasons why no one should come here: we had ordered 2 goat biryani, 1egg, boneless chicken biryani and 1sizzler. The order was taken by ‘Michael’. After an hour he says boneless is not there and can take egg biryani. Again after 30 mins says egg biryani is made is different way and won’t taste good and eat chicken. Later, he comes with 2 chicken and says I’m confused with order. And started arguing and yelling. When confronted, he said, sorry I’m short tempered and if you want Michael is my name and write reviews we don’t care. And asks us what the solution should be for this. It’s a big no no for this place. 1 star for this place just for food.

I came here with a group of work friends for lunch. Four people in our group were served first and two others were kept waiting. The entrees came out before the drinks, about 15 minutes after ordering them. There were no other people in the restaurant. Across from where we were eating, an employee was eating with his hands. The bathroom is back in the far corner, and one of the bathrooms was out of order. The ladies room has a wonderful faucet. The menu isn’t vegan friendly. Its very difficult to tell the ingredients in food, and assumes cultural knowledge. Everyone in my group liked their food, some said it was pretty spicy. The most frustrating part was our bill was as a group. We had to stand at the front counter for another 10 minutes as each person paid separately for their part of the check. If you love this food, eat here, but otherwise, there are better places.

Overall, the food was good. Portions are on the smaller side. I recommend the Gobi Manchurian, Hydrabadi biryani, chicken kabob, and the mutton. Service was terrible. Closed the kitchen and started cleaning up an hour before closing. We had a large group and i asked the waiter if we ordered enough food and he said it was ok. When it wasn’t enough food, i couldn’t order enough food because they closed the kitchen early.

They could really use lessons on customer service-have been kept waiting multiple times esp during busy hours. Their biryanis are alright. Try the vegetable manchurian and the chicken 555.

Someone had recommended this place to us so we decided to try it. The food was okay not bad but the service was sub par. No one came to check on us to see if we wanted anything else and we couldn’t even get a hold of our waiter to order our food for like 10 mins. I had ordered the spring dosa and it was a vegetarian pizza inside a dosa. In case your wondering it doesn’t taste good. The chicken tikka dosa was good. I don’t think we’ll be returning here.

OMG! Dead Customer Service! You can pretty much think of this place as self-service though they have waiters walking around. We asked for a table for 3 people, and they made us wait for a few minutes before finally going to a table and making some hand gestures to «call us» there. As soon as we sat, the waiter kept pressing on us to order very quickly(It was my first time) in a rude way because their kitchen was about to close in 5 minutes(What? Google says they’re open until 10PM). We quickly placed our order. I am quite sure you can take a short nap after you place your order ’cause they take such an insanely long amount of time to bring it. Our order finally arrived: — The Biryani was smokin’ spicy(Only worked for me, not my friends). The taste didn’t stand out compared to any other standard Biryani available at other restaurants. — The Naan was okay, and the curry was decent too. Also, I got a Naan that had some sort of coal? on it. TERRIBLE. I was already fed up with their useless behavior so decided not to speak to them about it. Not just these, they wouldn’t look at our table, would NEVER refill water and we had to get up and go to them to ask them to refill water. When we asked for the cheque, the waiter rudely replied that he will bring it to us so we can pay at the counter. Of course, all this went with a $ 0 tip. We are NEVER coming back here again. Make sure you do some yoga before going here so you can try to do your best to keep some peace of mind.

I ordered manchurian for starters and vegetable dum aloo biryani for take out and I must say I loved the food. The quantity for perfect for the price and the food tasted yummy. Manchurian dry — Shocked to see the quantity been so much and I told them to make it medium and it was perfect spicy level. The taste was really good. Vegetable Dum Aloo Biryani — They know how to cook their biryani and the taste is amazing. Only place besides them who I think kick ass in biryani is Biryani Maxx. Again quantity was really good for the price and it tasted just like something you would have in India. My order was ready on time and did not have to wait. I noticed their menu has the most items I have seen in an Indian restaurant in NC and I am excited to try other items. Price is less or almost same than compared to other Indian restaurants. When I went to pick up I saw the dine in packed(Friday at 8 pm). All in all must try.

I was a little scared by what the wait time might be based on the previous reviews, but my husband and I visited at 12:30pm for lunch and thankfully, our service was very prompt. We left work to meet on our lunch break and my husband had to be back to work by 1:30. He easily made it. Maybe other times of the day aren’t the best for service, but we had great service at lunch time. Upon walking through the door, I was blown away by the modern luxe design from the grass cloth wallpaper to the bling chandeliers. I loved it! We were kindly greeted and taken to our table. I was afraid based on the décor of the restaurant that we were going to be left with a hefty bill, but I was totally wrong. Their prices were very reasonable. From the menu, I chose a non-veg lunch special: chicken dum biryani. It was served with several sauces, a couple of other meat dishes, some naan and dessert. I love it when the favors are so complex that I can’t even tell what I’m eating. It was slightly spicier than I’m accustomed to, but then again, I’m not huge on spicy food. To a spicy food lover, it would have been just right. The waiter visited several times to check on us(and to refill my water glass). The lunch special was $ 9.99(plus tax and tip). For the portion size and quality of the food, it was a great deal! I look forward to returning.

Really enjoyed my experience and the food. I went with a friend and we did have to wait about 10 minutes to be seated but the place was crowded. The waiter was very polite and prompt. Our food came out very fast and was very good. We shared the Gobi Manchurian, which was so good! I really enjoyed the butter chicken with naan and my friend got the chole puri which she enjoyed as well. I’ll definitely be coming back!

There was a lot of hype and wait for the restaurant and surprisingly the food quality did not match upto it. They have an extensive menu but most of it isn’t available right now. There was a wait for an hour first time we went and decided to get a take out. The staff looked confused and flustered because of crowd and enquiries. I have done a take out atleast 3 times now trying out Bawarchi Boneless Chicken Biryani, Goat Biryani, Chicken 555, Gongura Chicken, Country Chicken curry and Goat Korma. Everything was extremely spicy even the curries for which we specified the spice level mild. The only thing me and my husband liked were Goat Biryani(not spicy) and Country Chicken which was delicious despite the hotness. Rest everything was mediocre nothing to write home about or wait in a queue.

Food was pretty BASIC, nothing exciting ! We were told to come back after 30 minutes, which we did. Once we were given a table our food arrived 30 minutes later. Total 60 minutes to taste their sloppy food. Coming to the environment of this place, its like you are sitting in the middle of an Amusement Park. We were given one of the tables in the entrance of the restaurant, most of the time i had my food with people standing beside my table. It was way too chaotic for one to sit and have a proper dinner. Kids were screaming, yelling at the top. This place is not worth having an anxiety attack or a headache along with your dinner. P S — we had ckn dum biryani, goat biryani and ckn 555, which were all basic, nothing as special as they tend to Boast
