When in town and when in doubt Java Garden is a good standby. Frankly, I thought the coffee was tasteless grounds in hot water. For lunch, I ordered a soup/salad combo and it was a good value for the price but not super flavorful. Salads are huge and the arugula is fresh and crisp. They give you dressing on the side to drench your lettuce as much or as little as you like. I love that they gave me tons of feta. And yet still the salad tasted one-dimensional. The soup was creamy but also a bit starchy and mushy. Also, I couldn’t detect the taste of any chicken. Not knocking Java Garden or anything. Just saying that something could round it all out a bit more. The service here is excellent.

I went to Java Garden after I got married and I seriously fell in love with how cute the place is! It’s the small coffee shop kind of sit down I’ve been looking for all my life! I didn’t get a chance to try the food but their coffee is really great and so are the employees.

Super nice employees and delicious food will always bring me back to any restaurant. The Java Garden makes me just want to move in. My daughter had the four cheese panini, her friend, the chicken wrap, and I had the Mediterranean chicken salad with grilled chicken, mandarin oranges, dried cranberries and feta over a spring mix. We are not per say picky people but we expect food to be fresh tasty and well presented. This meal exceeded our expectations on all levels. To top it off the desserts were home made(in house) and tasted like it. We will definitely be back!

Tasty coffee, yummy paninis, chill atmosphere. I always get the chicken panini and am never disappointed. Wish the hours were a little longer though.

Ham sandwich was delicious. Homemade cupcake was amazing, moist and yummy. Wasn’t surprised to learn it was made right there and that morning! Server was friendly and efficient. I care a lot about clean — and it was. Outside, landscaped patio was charming, so not chain store-ish. Yep; I’ll be back next time I’m in Morristown.

Wow! I accidentally stumbled on this joint while wandering downtown. Had a great Greek chicken wrap and an Americano out on the patio while a thunderstorm rolled by. Great little gem!

Great food and coffee. Excellent atmosphere and service. My one complaint was that their hours were limited but that has recently changed. A must-eat place in Morristown!

Great coffee and sandwiches. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and great service! They also have wifi so that you can have lunch, coffee and get some work done!

Java Garden tops the list or reasons we drive to Morristown every week. The best thing about this coffee and sandwich shop is the patio. We bring our dog, sit with him in the shade, and watch the day go by. Great view of downtown. The waitress remembered us by our second visit. The iced and hot coffee drinks are all good, and they have fantastic grilled cheese sandwiches and paninis. They have a walk up window for take out, and a pretty big seating area inside. Java Garden has a very relaxing atmosphere. I wish they would stay open later than 4pm. I think they could make a lot of dough if they stayed open later, at least in the summer!

Lovely place, particularly in the spring. Vegetarian items rely on cheese for protein. Panini orders come slowly.

Stopped in for breakfast and the egg white omelet was yummy. Definitely an affordable option for breakfast! I would strongly recommend it, and I heard the lunch sandwices were even better.

Really great sandwiches — awesome place Had the Turkey Reuben, which is my favorite sandwich, and it was Awwwwweesome! Just Biggo Taste! My lovely wife had the turkey w cranberry relish sandwich(forgot their moniker for this sandwich), and the kids got a platter of fresh sandwich meat, cheese and bread! Really top notch sandwiches!

+1 for helpful, attentive staff. Cup o’ joe was never low. +3 for being the home of the perfect BLT. Look no further. Srsly. You could put NASA scientists on this, it’s be a waste of time.

Used to go to this joint all the time when I worked in Morristown. I quit that miserable job so now I miss getting the best BLT I have ever had which is available at The Java Garden. Coffees are ok, about average. Nothing special.

A very charming front garden makes this otherwise par for the course coffee house a real treat. Wireless is a godsend.

I love Java Garden. I’ve been going there since I was a high school student, and I still do almost every time I’m in town for a visit. Their lunches are exceptional(especially for Morristown) and I really love the atmosphere. I haven’t had their coffee in ages, but I’ll have to make it a point to pick up a latte next time I’m there.
