YES! I have been coming here since I was 14 years old. this place has been around FOREVER. I love the drive to it… very nice passing Morris Dam and waterfall. The place itself is small and quaint with some seating inside and a good amount of outside seating. The ice cream and ice cream related items are phenomenal. The food is your standard summer style food and is pretty good. Coming here was one of my better memories as a kid. I have now started the tradition with my daughter! The only drawback is there is no bathroom… one star taken away for that alone. Otherwise AWESOME!

I don’t understand what all the ranting and raving is about. It’s your standard hot dog and ice cream joint, but you have to refinance your house to afford it. Had a hot dog, curly fries and a soft drink and somehow that cost me $ 17. I guess it’s the stuffy Litchfield crowd and the New Yorkers that don’t mind shelling out a week’s pay for their families to enjoy a meal together.

Popeyes is definitely one of my favorite places to go. I am definitely an ice cream snob when it comes to them. They have some of the best tasting soft served ice creams. Even when you order the smallest size, it’s still hefty enough to get you full. Their food is amazing as well, your typical«summer joint» as far as burgers, fries, etc etc. They have a small seating area inside and then a seating area outside with some rocking chairs which I love. It can get packed, especially on the weekends but it’s worth the wait. The only gripe I have with them is they do not accept CC. They do have an ATM, but it could be a hassle. I would recommend anybody to stop here!

Great ice cream, great food, great service. Hands down best place to go on a sunny afternoon. Comfy and clean inside and out.

This place has the best ice cream that I have ever had! And it has so many different kinds of toppings that it would take you many years to try every one… and that’s assuming you like every kind of topping. There is a fairly sizable café-style interior that you can sit down and eat your ice cream or other foods, and there is also outdoor seating as well. They also serve hot dogs, burgers, and some sandwiches all of which are pretty darn good as well! Highly recommended

Chocolate chip ice cream with strawberries was to die for! One of the best I’ve ever had. I only have two words for the taste of the ice cream… YUMYUM!

Good variety of ice cream and plenty of options for cups, cones, sundaes, etc. I have to mention though that we went there for a quick treat one night last week, and they have a flavor that I never noticed before called, Maine Black Bear. I was curious, so I asked, and it turns out it’s vanilla ice cream with generous raspberry swirls and huge chocolate chips. It was scrumptious! You don’t need anything larger than a small, though. It’s very generous and hard to finish that size.

Standard ice cream stand fare. Nice outdoor seating area with a quaint approaching-retro feel to the indoors. The ice cream is pretty good, and the food isn’t too bad — it’s your usual burgers, hot dogs, curly fries, etc. I had a chili dog that was. mm alright, a bit heavy on the tomatoes(I prefer bean-leaning chili), but I ate it. The cheeseburger I had left something to be desired, really nothing too impressive. But if it’s nice out, it’s not a bad stop. Soft serve and curly fries ftw.

Yes, Yes, Sweet Jesus Yes!!! I grew up right down the street from here and no summer evening was complete without a burger, onion rings, and a flurry from here. Loved it so much that I spent my summers during college working as a fry cook here. Don’t mind the crowds that form during the early evening. Its totally worth the wait.

When I was spending summers with my grandma in Bethlehem, we’d drive up here(with the dog) to get ice cream. Popeye’s was a nice summer spot with friendly staff, and they would even give dogs their own dish of vanilla ice cream for free. This was many summers ago, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this is still the place to be when you need a summertime ice cream fix.
