Excellent burger, big, juicy, well cooked. Grilled onion were done quite well also. I had the potato salad as my side and you could tell that it is definitely made fresh on a regular basis, rather than premade. The dressing was a teench bland, but not terribly so. I added some hot sauce and chowed down. It was $ 10.22 for the burger with two add-ons, but it is worth the money. Not much more expensive than Carl’s Jr, but much better food.

Very good brisket! House sauce is unique and good Orange Chipotle. Excellent staff. I particularly liked the Beef Short Rib Boneless. Worth the Stop. Being from Memphis I’m a BBQ Snob but this is good

Been waiting for this place to open and finally made it tonight! Hubby had a BBQ platter with brisket and baby back ribs… I had the stuffed burger special and it did STUFF me. But let’s start with the one-pass salad bar(VERY reasonably priced at $ 1.99 with a meal). This was a really good and interesting bunch of greeny goodness. Two kinds of beans, real bacon, seeds, etc., but great variety of dressings(smoky tomato ranch!)… and these cool little dessert cups of peanut butter mousse with chocolate. Add to that the burger fixings bar, and two kinds of BBQ sauce(both excellent), I was impressed before my food ever hit the table. On to entrees. hubby was equally impressed with the ribs(smoky and tender), and brisket was very nice. My burger was a BEAST stuffed with two cheeses and cooked exactly to a perfect medium. The tater salad was very nicely seasoned. Last, but not least, the restroom was spotless, like the rest of the place. Service was friendly and speedy. We enjoyed two full meals, with salad and drinks for $ 28 plus tip. A really GOOD meal. Highly recommend this little gem.

This spot is fairly new. We were excited to try it. Not bad. Nothing over the top with regard to flavor. It is simple backyard smoked meats. Some side sauces would be great, especially with the ribs. We did ask, and were told none available… too bad. Bread– corn bread… not at all good. Too dry, was cold and hardened. Come on guy– we need you here– we need you to succeed. We need to see some growth in our city, and a break in the monopoly that exists. SO, having several years experience in restaurant management and server management, I offer you some tips: Breads/rolls should be fresh daily, day old can be used for stuffings or bread puddings, but not on the plates. Have some sauce– yes you are a smoked meat spot, but people like a little sauce. Go with what works on the sides– no need to be fancy, simple with a twist is good– so long as the twist isn’t some throw together idea. Sample, test, freebie it until you know it will work, then serve it. No hands on hair, face, ears, neck, no scratching like you have fleas… Servers and cashiers should never pick their faces, dig their ears, or mess with their hair. PERIOD. Hairnets and mandatory hand washing is good. Mandatory gloves for food prep is good as well, and I believe a State Health Ordinance– Servers and cashiers should have clean hands at all times. Ours had black goop under her nails and in cuticles, her hair was greasy, and she kept playing with it. She also handled money, and would also plate food. Not good. Again, Hairnets and Gloves are great if hygiene is not the priority. I cannot imagine hygiene not being a priority… gack. Your food is ok. We would love to see you succeed, but you must remember, you have some competition with Shortys. Spruce it up. Average will never survive. If a customer complains, and they haven’t taken more than two bites of their food, apologize. Don’t argue. Offer to replace it, or comp it. Arguing over two dollars will cost you far more. Not just that customer, but those who hear how you deal with and value them. SO, Good luck. This isn’t a bad little place, just room for development and growth. Good luck to you!

A stroke of good luck when you find a restaurant while travelling that satiates your hunger, taste buds and personality. I just happened to find Berco’s after exiting the I-40 Highway on Route 66. I was starving to say the least after driving for quite some time. I love ribs and consider myself to be a pretty good judge. Berco’s ribs were outstanding. The wait staff treated me in such a welcoming way and suggested some New Mexican green chile cornbread. What a taste sensation! When I learned that this was a fairly new restaurant, I complimented the chef for doing such a superb job. My next business trip will certainly take me back to Berco’s to try more of these incredible edibles.

Spur of the moment visit. Did not know they closed at 8pm and we arrived at 7:45pm. We asked if it was too late to eat and they said no. They were very professional, patient and very friendly. They in no way gave attitude that we ate and stayed passed closing. The food was amazing! Restaurant was clean and service was great! We appreciated everything that they did for us(we were a party of 6). Worth the money. We are definitely looking forward to going back again.
