Definatley the best of the few Chinese places in town.

Changed hands again — we ordered ribs and it was nearly $ 10 just for them! Combo was $ 8 — umm, we won’t be coming back anymore if these prices remain this high. You can eat at a local buffet for $ 13 and get tons of food — ridiculous!

Eh — it’s okay. Food is decent. Last time we were there everything was too greasy — especially the lo mein. I love good fried rice — def not one of their specialties. People say it’s the best Chinese food in the area — lol — that doesn’t say a whole lot.

I think ownership of Zou’s changed hands recently. It used to be pretty good, but lately the food has tasted really weird. About a month ago I got cold sesame noodles, and they did not taste like cold sesame noodles. They tasted like cold spaghetti. Today’s wonton soup had an overwhelming garlic taste to it. I like garlic, but I like all the other stuff in wonton soup too, but I couldn’t taste any of it. For the first time in my life I spit out wonton soup. This makes me sad. I don’t know; maybe the new people just need some time to hit their stride, but I’m really kind of disappointed.

Owners seem nice. Food is average to below average. This is the better place to get Chinese in Morgantown, though.

Went there a couple times, and it’s pretty standard fare for a takeout Chinese food place. I would go here, because there isn’t any other good Chinese places in the area. The dining room is alright, nothing fancy, but the owner is nice and the food is good and cheap too. I prefer getting takeout, just because it’s faster, but when I went with some friends we did get free Chinese doughnuts for ordering a lot of food, which is cool. If you like Chinese, go here. Also, there’s a lot of vegetarian and vegan stuff. Worth going to, good takeout, good prices, I like it!

Fifteen miles from Reading, there is finally a substantial Chinese vegetarian menu, a whole page of vegan entrees. My sweet friend scoped this place out and sampled a variety of dishes for me before taking me, so cool. There is all the traditional stuff, and then veg duck, chicken, and ham, crafted from tofu or seitan. The seitan duck is particularly tender and good. We loved the scallion pancakes too. My friend special-requested curry sauce for her tofu dish, and it was really tasty; hope this gets onto the regular menu. A nice touch is the bottle of spicy sriracha rooster sauce on the table, yes please, since Zou’s can be a bit shy on the spice. The great thing is that there is always something to come back and try. But I ask you, is there a demand for vegan food in Morgantown, and who is buying this food enough to keep it on the menu? I hope it stays. I don’t *have* to have mock meats, but they are a nice treat. The building is on the end of an aging strip mall called the Clocktower, but the location atop a hill is nice, and you have a view of the area when you sit in the windows. Pretty chandelier. too. Prices are very affordable, and it is BYOB. Our bill was $ 52 for 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. Our recommendations would be to turn down the lights a bit at night and add a few candles and some music, and please, something other than news or sports on the tv if it must be on. They don’t seem to focus on their dining room as much as their takeout. There wasn’t a wine bucket for our white wine; we will bring one next time. In the middle of our meal, the owner’s little boy came out festooned in a cute zebra hat and waved his large inflatable sword at us. I wish I had a picture. We considered it our entertainment.

Great price. Good portions. And the food is above average for it’s price. It’s our families«go to» place for Chinese food in the Morgantown area.
