This is, in my opinion, the best place to go out in Morgantown (especially in the summer). The back deck is absolutely incredible.
Best fries in the city and the best sandwiches in downtown Morgantown.
The beer list is absolutely incredible (though it changes, so writing a review about any individual craft brew is ineffective). Most things on the menu are well worth the money.
Something that could be considered a drawback: while the restaurant part of the establishment is smoke-​free, the bar section and deck are not.

This place is now the Morgantown Brewing Company. I LOVED this place. The girlfriend and I stopped in to check it out on a road trip and were far far far beyond pleasantly suprised.
The beer is delicious, most notably the Alpha Blonde and Zack Morgan’s Pale Ale. The entrees were all delicious. I had some Asian fusion burger that I ate so fast I had a stomach ache.
Atop all of this it was CHEAP. In fact I felt like I was stealing from them.
3 beers + 2entrees + beer sampler = 28 bucks.
If you are from any city anywhere that is bogged down with expensive beers, mediocre entrees, and other associated BS please stop by this place if you are ever in Morgantown, WV. I would hate to see this place go under because I’m planning on stopping in every time I go through the area.

The food there is fantastic! The quality that they give you is great. It is not quite the same as the old Brew Pub, but it has the same feel and the beers are great.

This place has been closed since November or December of ’08. Pretty lame that a fairly cool college town like Morgantown doesn’t even have a micro-​brewery. Lame. That’s really all I can say.
When it was open, the beer ranged from okay to pretty good. Always had good deals on beer and food, and it was always packed with people, so I’m not sure why it didn’t make it. Poor management, I suspect? When they were open, I went there frequently in order to keep supporting them, despite some frustrating experiences with service. (trying to support them didn’t work apparently)
Really too bad. To check out a brewery/​brewpub as it SHOULD be done, see Mountain State Brewing in Davis, WV and also in Deep Creek, MD.

Best micro-​brew in the area. This is saying a lot since I hate beer. This is the only place I have drank a beer and went, «you know what — I like this». Perhaps I could have become a beer drinker if I had frequented this place more but it wasn’t totally my scene. I can’t speak for the food, but they will occasionally have live music and the bar has a very laid back/​hippy feel which appeals to students, professors, and just about anyone who wants a low key calm bar scene.

The food here is really good, and it’s the only brewpub in Morgantown. There are usually at least 5 of their beers on tap, and the Appalachian Ale is ever popular. I have always liked the Blackwater Stout, though it gives me a weird headache. This brewer wins awards at microbrew competitions every year, including the Bramwell Oktoberfest. There has been some good music here over the years, and there’s a weekly old time acoustic jam (Wednesdays?). This is kinda the Cheers of Morgantown, with a core collection of the usual suspects sitting on a barstool on any given night. The salads and very generous and delicious, and it’s a great place to have dinner and beers out on the deck in the summer.
