The Sports Page

I love sports page. My favorite sports bar in Morgantown. Drinks and food are great. Service is usually great too.

If you’re looking for a place to watch that special game with plenty of cheap eats and beer than look no further. This bar has been around forever, and it has pretty much remained unchanged since it opened. A few things to note about your Sports Page experience:
1) unless it’s something like the World Cup, you won’t find them open during the day
2) it’s about sports, so they’re not going to run a movie for you
3) The food is pub good, but nothing fancy. I like the sandwiches (steak)
4) if you’re looking to have that Cheers experience with the bartender then think again. These girls tend to get super busy and don’t really have a whole lot of time for that
5) My experience has been that they are ok, and easy to get along with as long as you don’t make a jerk out of yourself.
6) The exception to #5 will most likely come from here. It is loaded with college kids, some of whom can get a bit out of hand when the drinks are flowing. «No, Junior, the fact that you are 21 does not mean you own the world.»

Landed a new job at Fairmont with the WVU NASA IV&V facility. Packed up my car and drove 2500 miles from Los Angeles to Morgantown. Everyone told me to stay in Morgantown as it is the best city to live in WV (that will be a different review for later). Don’t know anyone here and bore to my skull. Googled/​yelped and found this place to have myself a happy hour Friday after work. Paid the normal $ 5 cover to have their buffalo wings buffet and pizza for the Friday happy hour which includes all you can eat of pizza (2 kinds, cheese and pepperoni, and they went out quickly) and 2 kinds of buffalo wings, teriyaki and spicy. Order the local (from PA) Yuenling for $ 1.50. The ambient is a typical sports bar with many TV showing many sports program. The wings were good for buffet. The spicy ones got some kick at the end and they were all crispy and golden brown. Good deal for what I paid.

Cheap beer options and if you like ladies in foot locker like tight referee outfits then this is your place for positive. Just look for the giant baseball cap on high street and walk downstairs. Enjoy!
