Our trip to Morgantown was our first one, and we had no idea where to eat. We wandered into this restaurant. No other customers were there, so I got worried about the quality of the place. Nonetheless, we placed our orders for food. One employee cooked the food right in front of us. She yawned over the food and touched her gloved hand to her hair before touching the food. The tables and seats were a little dirty, so probably the staff should have cleaned them when they were sitting around waiting for customers to show up. My quesadilla tasted good. My husband’s taco had dry fish and watery sauce that caused the shell to fall apart.

Probably the best Mexican foods you can get in town. It has the best tacos make sure to get grilled chicken tacos and everything on it. 3 tacos for $ 7.50 best deal. I recommend it.

The first time I ever went to Chico’s I wasn’t overly thrilled. I got the carne asada taco and it was awful. I ended up taking ¾ of my meal back to my pups and letting them have it. However it is my brother’s absolute favorite restaurant in Morgantown(and one of my mom’s favorites) so I gave it another go after two years of avoiding it. I think I was just there on an off day. I got the same thing again(a carne asada taco) and this time the meat was a million times better and seasoned perfectly! All the ingredients were fresh. The guy who made up my tacos was super cool and friendly, and didn’t seem annoyed at all that I was putzing around staring at the menu for 10 minutes before I finally ordered. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was because of the tortillas. I absolutely hate the corn tortillas(and did when I went previously as well). With so many options already it would be great if you had a flour tortilla option as well to choose from. I ended up swapping out the tortilla when I got back to my office(for some reason we had a pack of tortilla’s laying around). Other than that though, my experience was much better this time around, and Chico’s Fat made me a happy(full) camper.

We had lunch here today and had burritos with chicken. All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty and they had a large variety of things to put on your burrito. We had mango and pineapple soda, delish. As a bonus, there was good music playing and prices were decent. We’ll be back, Chico.

This place is a yummy ghetto Chipotle, w a lot of other yummy food options! I eat here almost every day. Very reasonable prices and good quality food. I always get the fat bowl w carne asada. Their staff is always so nice and welcoming to me as well! I live in an apartment right above so I always stop here before I go home. Their guac is soooo yummy. I love love love it eating here.

I love this place when I can go on and order. But both times I have used order up my orders have been wrong And the only thing they offered to do about it was give a $ 1 credit for next time I came in. Food is awesome when it’s right. Also owner is a great guy. I would just recommend only eating there if you order in person.

I don’t know what’s taken me so long to try Chico’s, but I finally did last weekend and(don’t shame me) returned 3 times in one week. The reason why, beyond good food, is that this a great place to get take-out from on the way home from work or class on the downtown campus. With burritos starting at 4.75 for vegetarian and 6.00 for meat-filled burritos, this is a good value. I don’t know what other reviewers were complaining about: the portions are big enough that I’m full, but not so full that I feel gross and immobilized. It might be tempting to make comparisons to Black Bear, but these are totally two different(but equally delicious) approaches to burritos. Chico’s is more traditional, and what I love is that there’s the option to have a burrito bowl. Thanks to Chipotle’s questionable hygiene, it’s great to have a better option when I’m craving a bowl. As far as the toppings, I think they’re all high quality: tender meat(try the carne asada or spicy shredded chicken), rice, beans, pico de gallo, salsa, and cheese. I like the hot salsa and salsa verde. I’ve tried the pinto beans and the refried beans, but I preferred the pinto. There is an upcharge for sour cream, but it’s nominal. I do wonder if they could include shredded romaine on request, just to have a veggie and for texture. That’s a small quibble. A final bonus is that there is a burrito club card. Basically if you buy 10 burritos, you get 1 free. Given the rate I’m going, that card will fill up in no time.

ordered through ORDERUP website, which was really cool because they had an option to track your driver to see when your food will be delivered. i had the spicy chicken quesadilla which was delicious, generous portions… only downside was there wasnt an option to order a side of rice. but overall im satisfied and full! delivery was fast. less than a half hour. The queso was different, its not like other mexican restaurant’s.its thicker and spicy but it was still delicious. The salsa is thick and chunky which i dont personally prefer but it wasnt bad. They have a great selection of menu items. and the prices are reasonable. i will order from here again.

One of my favorite places to get lunch in town. They have a buy ten burritos get one free punch card which adds up faster than you would think. The ingredients are always fresh, and their meat is locally sourced. Todd, the hippy that owns the place is normally behind the counter with the rest of the friendly staff. There is always funky music playing and they have bottled sodas as well as fountain drinks.

Nothing special IMHO. The chicken was kind of bland as well as the cheese. I don’t really like their corn tortillas that much, they taste really bland to me. But to be fair it’s all legit corn tortillas that are really something to get used to to really enjoy. Portions are stingy just like Chipotle or Qdoba or any other buffet-ish Mexican restaurant. I’d rather just stick to Qdoba for my taco needs.

I happened upon this place looking for lunch on High st and was very pleased with the whole experience. Everything except the cookies is made there and there are so many options. The proteins were especially good on the guacamole salad. I would go back again in a second.

My experiences at Chico’s Fat have always been super positive: friendly staff, clean establishment, delicious food, great portion sizes, and I love the atmosphere! They always have awesome music playing and the decorations are fun and colorful. Going to Chico’s has been the highlight of my week for the past 3 or 4 years… they made a regular out of me and I’m still loving every minute and every meal!

Staff was very rude Update: The owner reached out to me and assured me he would have a discussion with his staff about this. Besides this one incident, I have always loved the food here and it is a great place to eat. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Very few places have the ability to have a simple easy to read menu and tasty recipe all made to order. Fresh in your face, delicious; even in a corn tortilla which is an acquired taste in Mexican restaurants. The guacamole was good. I’ve had better but it was good enough for me to take the left over home and James who prepared my diner topped my bag with fresh tortilla chips. I think one of the coolest things on the menu is the honey chipotle tofu. You gotta have some of that if you are vegetarian. Never tasted better tofu. To top it off service was friendly and courteous. I will be back here before I leave town. Only reason I didn’t give me the last star is because they do not sell margaritas. They are too close to a church that holds AA meetings so per state law they cannot sell alcohol. Non the less the food is good enough to make me return, margaritas or not.
