OMG!!! What a find. So, I just happened to take a wrong turn on my way to go camping with friends and luckily I came across this place. It was a Saturday afternoon, so they had their weekly fish fry going on. I went inside to check out everything first. Amazing selection of fresh fish and prepared foods. The tuna looked beautiful, same with the trout. So many other types of filets, steaks, and whole fish to chose from. The lady who runs the place actually steams the yellowfin tuna to make the tuna salad. These people even had some fresh made sushi and seaweed salad in a small mountain town. I decided I wanted a lobster roll from inside, then I’d figure out what kind of fried food I wanted outside. The lobster roll was ok at best, but didn’t discourage me, I know good seafood when i see it, and I shouldn’t have expected much more for 6 bucks. The crab cakes outside though were some of the best I’ve ever had in NC. Maybe I was just still that hungry after not eating that much of my lobster roll but wow, is all I could say. It was about $ 6 – 7 a plate for a large crab cake with remoulade and fries and well worth it. There was some kind of deep fried white fish you could get as well. When I showed up to the camp site I had a smirk on my face and everybody just looked at me funny when I turned down a fresh made lunch from the fire. I would have brought some fish to cook myself, but didn’t have a proper cooler with me. If your within 20 miles of here and love fresh seafood, you have to check it out. Since the name of the place has a 2 at the end of it, I’d say there is probably another one somewhat nearby as well.
