Earlier this week, I was thinking of going to a running store in Campbell. However, I decided to support the local community and give this place a try. I am glad I did. Paul noticed my existing sneakers upon entering and gave me three recommendations for new running shoes. His recommendations were great in regard to shoe function, type, and price (price was on par with what I saw online). Overall, a great experience.
With his recommendation, I used the new shoes for a long run today, and it was a great success.
If you are thinking of running and you live in Morgan Hill, don’t think you need to drive up north for great running shoes and gear. It is right here in Morgan Hill.

This place is amazing! Paul know’s so much about running you wouldn’t think of the things that matter. Go to him for your running and cross functional fitness needs!

Why did I wait so long to come to this store? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself since I moved to Morgan Hill the end of 2014. Paul and his staff are simply amazing. They have an incredible amount of patience working painstakingly with you to ensure you have a shoe that is the perfect fit. They’ve done special orders for me on numerous occasions and I’ve always been delighted with my purchases. Could you find a cheaper pair shoes elsewhere, perhaps, but you get what you pay for. And I guarantee you you will not get the attention to detail provided by the shop anywhere else. This place is an A+++. Do yourself a favor and stop by the running shop the next time you need a pair of sneakers. You will not regret your purchase.

Worth the drive from Sunnyvale. The service was amazing. Big hitters. Nutrition, fuel belts, Balega socks, Hoka shoes (bought a pair) nice selection of trail shoes… Paul and team was just as helpful in the shop as they were at Morgan Hill expo.

I waited way too long to get new shoes, but what a difference with my new ones. Paul, the owner of The Running Shop, was über helpful, extremely knowledgeable, service oriented and really knew his stock and inventory. As a runner, marathon participant and veteran in Afghanistan, he has the experience to back up his suggestions. His goal was to find the most comfortable, functional shoes for my crazy, surgically altered feet. I am not waiting so long next time because now I know where to go. Within the next few months the Running Shop will be relocating nearby to a larger facility. Call ahead for details.

LONG overdue review!
Paul is absolutely incredible! Not only does he know his stuff and but he is just a genuinely nice guy. From the moment I walked in he was welcoming and friendly.
Within 30 seconds of walking in and without my prompting, Paul asked me if I’d had specific issues with ankle and knee problems in past workout shoes. I was shocked because I had! He talked me through why, what shoes to get, what insoles and I what to look out for in future shoes! This surprised me as he had only seen me walk in the front door! It felt like he was my own personal shopper because he knew exactly what I needed without my even knowing it. Since buying shoes from him, I’ve had zero issues! His vast knowledge and superior customer service makes me over the moon thrilled that he has his shop in my town! I would drive over an hour to get superior service from him if need be!
Not only that, but all of the women and friends I workout with feel the same way. He custom orders products when needed, including sports bras, and is just a true professional. I’ve gone to expensive stores in the past where you pay people to analyze your feet and gait to get the right shoe. They were nothing compared to Paul and his shop!

I’ve been searching for a pair of running shoes that will really work with my foot for over a year and had all but given up. Walked into check out the local shop for shoes for my husband and I mentioned my problems to the associate-​on the first try he found a pair that were way more comfortable on my foot then anything I’d ever tried. He took the time to explain what my foot needed in a running shoe and how the shoe offered that. Not only did I leave with a pair of shoes –but they also gained a loyal customer. Great customer service, great knowledge. I’ll definitely be going there again!

I’m so happy I went to The Running Shop! I recently started getting into running a few months ago and was having issues with shin splints. I decided it was time to bite the bullet and spend a few extra bucks on a nice pair of running shoes.
I had recently read about The Running Shop online and decided to give it shot. They talked to me about my running issues, watched me walk around the store and had lots of shoes for me to try on.
The first pair they brought out ended up being the pair that I bought and I absolutely LOVE them. I can already feel a huge difference when I run and I’m not in any pain!

Came in just expecting to browse ended up walking out in a brand new pair of Asics! The sales associate was kind and attentive to my needs and took the time to properly fit me for the right shoe! Great shoes and great service! A must go for all runners any level!

Definitely will be my spot for running shoes from now on. Not only do they provide good and knowledgeable service they won’t let you walk out of there with just any shoe. They make sure it’s the right pair for your choice or running/​exercise.

I just left The Running Shop, and I am happy as can be. I ran in the first generation Pure Flow and was saddened when they changed subsequent models. I went in today thinking I would settle for a pair of shoes as I have the past several years, but that was not the case!
I called the number here on Unilocal and it went to the manager’s cell. He answered my questions and spent several minutes making sure he understood what I was looking for. That’s the first time that’s happened! At the store, Zach had me try on five pairs of shoes and was very patient. I was pretty happy with the fourth pair, but he asked me to try on the fifth anyway, just to make sure. That was also a first, and boy was I glad I did! The shoes are exactly what I’ve been looking for!

Super friendly and knows all about the running game, came in told him «hey it’s my first Spartan Run, I need some kicks». Gave me the Inov8 X talon told me he did research and this was the best shoes for that kind of race. Also gave me pointers about wearing thin socks so it won’t soak up hella water. Friendly environment would come back again!

Met Paul at the Wildflower and advised me on shoes for my half marathon world’s record holding 10 year old. Very informed guy and I will buy shoes from him in our racing future!

Very knowledgable and courteous. Spent over an hour and a half with me trying on various shoes and making sure they were the right fit and style. Staff evaluate your feet and walk to find the correct shoe to fit your needs. Prices are moderate to pricey.

I was recommended to go to this shop by my oly lift trainer to pick up some weightlifting shoes. Great shopping experience!
ENVIRONMENT: this shop is very small yet efficient. The room is filled with different types of shoes, including weightlifting shoes. You can’t find weightlifting shoes anywhere in any retail unless you shop online. Very clean store as well.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Paul has the best customer service I’ve ever seen! It would be hard to explain in my own words. Very helpful and knows the products well. If the product isn’t there, he would help find the product online and order it for you. He’s ordering lifting straps for me.
This is an honest 5 stars. I’m very impressed by this store.
