Olivia’s Cleaning Services

Olivia does a good job. I also hired her to clean my in-​laws and she tackled that disaster like a champ.

I signed up for monthly service (every four weeks) and had three months of service before deciding it was not going to work out. I should have figured it out the very first day when she complained to me about one of her clients asking her to clean more slowly. Now I know why.
While it is true that she does «clean» most surfaces, she does not really look to make sure those surfaces are actually clean when she is finished. I had to go around the house each time after she left to finish cleaning. She also did not move small items like trash cans to clean under and behind them (even after I explicitly asked her to), and often did not move appliances on counters to clean either (though she told me she did, it was obvious she had not as I could wipe my finger on the area and get a nice layer of dust). She pushed the vacuum so fast in her rush to finish «cleaning» as quickly as possible, that lint was still left on the floor everywhere.
I decided to give her one more chance, suggesting after the January cleaning that maybe she could stay at our house an hour longer to clean next time in order to do a more thorough job. This was three weeks before the next cleaning, and she agreed to this plan. Then *the day before* our February cleaning, she said she could not do that after all but that she had a «new more effective time saving tool» that would help her clean better, which she refused to disclose. 1) Since she would not tell me what this tool was, I doubt there even was such a thing, and 2) Her lack of thoroughness and attention to detail was not something any tool could aid in.
I think she was offended that I didn’t think she cleaned well enough and had asked her to do more, just as she was offended by her other client that she complained to me about on her very first day at my home. It is a very unprofessional attitude.
So one star for both professionalism and cleaning. She was always on time and friendly, if that is what you are looking for in a house cleaner.

Wow, now she outright lies because she can not stand behind her service. I will be very disappointed with Unilocal if they remove an honest review because of a DISHONEST service provider. If anyone wants proof, I can send you a copy of the cancelled checks after she deposited them or you can see the text message conversations with her on my phone. Also, if you look closely, one of the 5-​star ratings she is referring to she made herself and two of them have the exact same text. Stay away from this lady! Instead of just giving her side of the story, she lies because her side of the story is obviously pure rubbish. Like me having the wrong cleaning service. The wrong service that has the same phone number and who gave me the same brochure pictured on this Unilocal page? Just stop lying; you are making yourself look even worse.

She came to my house the day before Thanksgiving on pretty short notice and dealt with me and my crazy dog roaming around the house. She did a really great job and didn’t make me feel like a loser for having a messy house. She did an especially great job on my bathrooms. It was great to have one of my to do items before the holiday checked off of my list for me, especially since it was the first Thanksgiving since my mom passed in June. Thank you, Olivia, for doing such a great job!
Edited 4÷10÷13 to add that the last time Olivia cleaned my house, she took care of areas that were not even included in the price of the cleaning and she picked up my kids toy mess in those areas. That was truly going above and beyond. I only wish I could afford to have her visit more often as my kids (and husband!) can really tear up the place!
