The race is 17 years running now through and around downtown Morgan Hill every fourth of July! It’s crowded, fast and pretty flat except for slight upgrade in Dunn which is 40% of the squire 3.1 certified USATF course you run! It’s also considered«record quality» which is necessary if you want to attempt it for a worlds record as my son did! Lot’s of fan support for local race in small town. People set up chairs along side the streets for days before in order to be close to both the race and the following parade thereafter! The race goes from Peak to Dunn to Monterey road to Main avenue-TWICE! Second time around you go through the cones to the chip detector finish line! You will get boxed in and not perform well given the great conditions if your pace is over 5.45 for the mile. Expect the winner to run around 14.40 or so if not too hot. It’s fun and like i said almost flat but surely crowded and that is a problem for non performance high«age grade» runners! We will go back!
