Dan Hearny was so easy to work with. He prepared a Greek sit down dinner for 40 people in Morgan Hill at a clubhouse that barely had a kitchen. Poor man nearly lost it when he saw the 7 ft long kitchen he had to work with. But he brought his own grill and a cooking table which fit. He turned out a dinner that was a huge hit with our group: hummus with pita, dolmas, spankopita on an appetizer plate, chicken souvlaki with rice and Greek salad for $ 26.50 inc tip and tax. And he did it all in the rain! We were able to bring our own wine, coffee and dessert. He even rated an ovation! What was really special was that he did not even flinch when one woman called a half hr before dinner wanting to bring two extra guests. Then later, two people we were expecting did not show up so we were back to the original count! He brought tablecloths, dishes, wine glasses, etc, even for things he did not provide like coffee and wine. He had the foresight to bring extras in case the count was low. He totes a van with all the things he needs so if you have an event, you have little to think about as Dan has it covered. He was unfailingly cheerful and his assistant Samantha was terrific at serving as well. I checked with Clos la Chance before hiring Dan and they recommended him so I hired him. We all hope he does open a restaurant in Morgan Hill as we have no Greek cuisine here.

We tried the hummas & marinated chicken at the Clos La Chance Harvest Festival in Morgan Hill. It was lovely. Can’t wait for a restaurant to open to give some additional variety to Morgan Hill selections for meals out.

Tasted their Pita/Hummus platter at the Garlic Festival and it was delicious. Warm and savory, quite excellent! Can’t wait to try more of their food again at the Clos LaChance Harvest Celebration.
