My mother has been going to see Fernando for over 15 yrs. and I have joined her the last 10 yrs. We love the atmosphere and of course the team! They give their best! I just recently decided to attempt the blue silver hair that’s in style these days and I couldn’t be happier! Fernando and his team did an excellent job! I can’t wait for my next visit!

I just moved to Morgan Hill and went with Studio 28 because of the stellar Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed! Karen was a super star! I went in with a picture and said something along the lines of «I want it to look kind of like this.» Karen was so patient and thorough, consistently asking me «is this what you want», «do you want it to look like this?», and really took her time to make sure I was happy. The environment was beautiful, the staff friendly, the shampoo AMAZING, and the owner was super interested to see how the finished product looked and confirmed my feelings: Karen did a fantastic job. I will definitely be back. Karen and Studio 28 have a new fan and faithful client.

I would walk a thousand miles for Hair Studio 28!!! I drive from Union City (45 minutes) to see Freddy and Fernando and totally worth it. The entire team is awesome, and very professional. Freddy always does a wonderful job, and takes his time. My hair is flawless and I get a lot of compliments. He treats my hair with care and gives me his honest opinion on what is best. I wouldn’t trade these guys for anything. Would recommend them always.

I followed Freddie Fuentes to Hair Studio 28. Freddie created the haircut that landed me my latest job! In addition to great cuts, Freddie provides expert color service. I appreciate the time and care he devotes to making sure he delivers the exact service you request. I never feel rushed at the Hair Studio 28 salon.

I had an appointment with Candi & loved her & the rest of the staff. She took her time with my hair since I messed it up trying to color it myself, she was gentle as well as the other gal who helped Candi but I feel bad I’ve forgotten her name. They were both very sweet & caring. I showed candy the color I was going for & even though I messed up my hair she wanted to make sure it looked like the picture which it did. She also massaged my head while she washed it & so did the other gal it was amazing! I can’t wait to go back again :) try!

I have gone to hairstylists all over the country, literally. I have had four regular stylists in the past 15 years, and two of them were in Morgan Hill. I became very disenchanted with all of them, because it seemed that quality and passion for the work really took a back seat to the needs of the particular stylist. Appointments were changed, or rescheduled at the last minute, details of color and cut were overlooked or disregarded, and over time I began to wonder if it was me. Was I such a needy, bad client that I deserved to leave a haircut with one side of my hair two inches longer than the other? Or with my hair not colored all the way to the roots?
Then I found Hair Studio 28, and Fernando. There are other great people there, but to me, he is a really unique and wonderful human being as well as an extraordinary stylist. He is very handsome, which is a little intimidating, but immediately upon speaking to him you realize that all he is concerned with is doing a great job for you.
When I got there some months back, my hair was truly a wreck. Bad cut, damaged and really depressing. Judging by the expression on Fernando’s face, which he couldn’t conceal, he was unpleasantly surprised by the lack of craftsmanship (for which the most recent charge had been three hundred dollars, no less.)
But he got to work, and the resulting product was incredible. Best haircut I have ever had in my life, bar none. I’ve had my hair cut by some pretty famous people: Fernando beat them all.
I have become, as a result, a true believer. Although I am a work in progress, the progress is stunning, and with each successive appointment, it gets more and more gorgeous. I’ve got my entire family and all my friends seeing him now. Not trying to tell you what to do, but you need to go see him. Prices for service are good, products are all Kerastase and so fairly expensive, but worth it.
I’d give ten stars if I could. Go.

Fernando, Freddy and the staff are AMAZING! I am always very pleased with the outcome of my hair. All of the stylists are very professional and knowledgeable. They actually put time and effort into the consultation to make sure that you get exactly what you want, whether is color, hair cut or up-​do they meet and exceed my expectations… Fernando did a beautiful up-​do for my civil ceremony and it looked gorgeous. The environment is very welcoming and cozy… I can stay there for hours. I have been going to Hair Studio 28 for about 5 years now and I highly recommend them.

Hair Studio 28 provides amazing service! I have been a loyal client for many years dating back to the San Jose location. Fernando, Freddy, and Candy provide great and personalized service. Fernando makes beautiful hairdos so this is a go-​to place for any special occasion! The products they use are top quality so you know you are in good hands. I drive to Morgan Hill from the Milpitas area and it is completely worth it.

Best place in town! I used to drive all the way to San Jose until I found studio28, great staff, Fernando is great doing my hair! The place always looks clean, love when they wash my hair that give you a little massage. Great place!

Hair Studio 28 is a gem in Morgan Hill! Fernando and his team are extremely skilled in their craft: I walked into the salon needing a change and walked out feeling completely revitalized. Their color and cut recommendations were spot on, suggesting a new, deep, bold red to compliment my skin tone. I’m completely in love with my new look.

I’ve known this salon and the owner for long time now, Fernando is really nice as well as his team.
The salon is beautiful and very comfy, they make you feel soo welcome. They serve you coffee, water or tea while getting your hair done.

Two-​time customer so far, and very happy. Non-​descript location and business frontage, but very clean and well run inside. Good for appointments and walk-​ins alike.
Edgar was excellent: patient, good listener, and receptive to my wishes. Got the correct cut and color I wanted — well done. Hair style took a long while, as expected, but well executed. Didn’t feel rushed, and felt very well attended to. Very happy with the end result!
Would be happy to come back to Studio 28! Higher recommend this salon. Pricing is competitive.

I got Freddie and he is so fantastic. He gave me amazing edgy hair! Before, my hair was just boring and was messed up by previous stylists, but he fixed my hair and gave me an edge to it. Plus! The service here is wonderful; if you go, I recommend to ask for Freddie. 10 out 10 would recommend! Cx

Freddie Fuentes did an excellent job on my hair today. It was the perfect length and color. The owner of the shop came out and greeted me and was super friendly — offered me a fresh cup of tea and everyone made me feel super comfortable at the location. I will definitely be back A+ allthe way!

I am currently going thru a severe case of postpartum hair loss, so I have decided to chop off my long hair of 2 decades. I researched online on the short hairstyle that I wanted and showed it to Fernando, and with one glanced he was able to cut my hair the way I wanted it. I am super happy with my hair, and I can’t wait to go back in 2 months.
Also, the staff are super friendly. Not to mention my husband called in the morning and I got my appointment at noon on the same day.
One of the staff, a girl (which I forgot to ask for her name), washed my hair and gave me the most relaxing head massage which was much needed since my little one didn’t let me sleep much the night before.
I highly recommend this salon, and the price is super affordable. They also list all of their pricing on their websites.
