Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

I’ve been coming to this pizza place since Harold (the owner) dressed up as a bird, and didn’t «just say no» drug campaigns at my elementary school (over 25 years ago), and I still love it now. The fried mushrooms are my favorite! They took them off of the menu some years back, but now they’re back!). The pizza and mojos are delicious, and so is their fried chicken. The tiger sauce is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Love this place!

I was really disappointed today in shakeys! Growing up in Moreno valley this was always a classic place to go and have fun but today when me and my husband took our kids it was not the best experience first off we got there right when it opened and paid for our lunch buffets which was fine and decent price. The food was OK but not like I remember and then we spent ten dollars in game tokens went to the game room and almost all of the games are broken or taped up! I feel like this shakeys really needs to take the money they get and spend it on an upgrade! The food is better then chucke cheese but my kids can have way more fun there with not broken games and all games are a token not 4 for a game that is broken!

This skakeys pizza was kinda ghetto. The food was gross and very limited, seating was horrible. Ill keep this review short. Ive been to other shakeys before in orange county and los Angeles location’s this was far by subpar.

Extremely disappointed pizza was a large but I’ve ordered mediums bigger than that barely any cheese I was so disappointed never again

This place has really gone down hill. Came with the kids and Half the games don’t work. The mojos tasted like they had been under a hot lamp for a long time. Pizza was good only reason it gets even two stars

I didn’t go to my grandson’s birthday party, but was treated to «Bunch o’ lunch» leftovers! The pizza was as good as I remember for the last 40 years. I followed the reheat in the oven instructions on the box and it was as if I’d had the fresh baked in the restaurant. Yeasty, thin crust, Salty spicy pepperoni, or the crisp veggies on the onion, mushroom and tomato accompanied with a simple sauce. My mouth is still watering and I haven’t mentioned the perfectly flavored, crispy, fried chicken and mojo potatoes!!!
My only wish is that I had visited the on Shakey’s Iowa Ave. in Riverside more often so it ould have stayed.

I’ve been coming to shakeys for the better part of 30 years. Typically, when you grow up with a place, your tastes change as you mature. Well, shakeys has remained great tasting for that long. Give it a ry. The pizza is solid, the chicken and potatoes are awesome

Best pizza in the i.e. I came in and asked for a cheese less veggie pizza and they did not disappoint! Very fast very good very clean. I’ve been coming here since I was a meat eating cheese loving kid and I’m more than glad they didn’t disappoint! 5 stars for shakeys

Never an overall negative experience at this location! A Moreno Valley Icon for sure! One thing I have noticed is that the lunch buffet area need better tending to during the time its available. Last two times I’ve been, I was hesitant do it because the buffet line looked «wrecked» with the serving utensils on the table instead if on the pizza trays… Also in the hot food section, it seemed the serving utensils were being used on all the other stuff «cross contaminating» everything. Love their pizza, chicken, & Mojo’s combos… But not too excited over the lunch buffet anymore.

Haven’t been to a shakey’s in a long time but I was craving those mojo potatoes. Called in my order the girl said it would be 10 – 20 min. I got a pizza, chicken and mojo potatos. The chicken was really good so where the potatoes. The pizza was kinda dry it had very little sauce on it. Over all my experience was good. The girl on the phone and the girl who cashed me out are all friendly. I didn’t think the location was too dirty like other reviews, it’s a place where kids can run around looks clean.

My pregnant wife was craving pizza and her first choice was pieology. The downside to the first choice is the closest one to is in 30 minutes away. We then went online and researched a pizza spot that wouldn’t be as far and hope would still have some quality. We chose wrong! We ordered a medium pizza with no cheese and only veggies and a small order of mojos. We paid over $ 22.00 for a burnt pizza that had no sauce and mojos that seemed they were opened from a frozen bag and weren’t even cooked all the way. On top of this bad experience with the quality of the food the service was average. For a place that is supposed to be fun for a family the staff seemed like they were not enjoying being there. Long story short go to pieology if you want a fresh pizza and get your money’s worth. We will defiantly be making the drive next time.

It’s your typical Shakey’s and I’ve been frequently coming here twice a year for six years now as it’s a traditional fundraising spot. Nonetheless, pizza is always crispy, hot and flavorful. Their mojos and chicken are a must for the party and will definitely fill you up. I also like that they serve pitchers of beers. I enjoyed their Hanger24 on tap, which they fill way over the rim.

This place is my favorite. My family and I drive from out of town to come to THIS Shakey’s. The employees are great, always very nice to us.

Brought my girls for that coupon they gave them at back to school and we wanted and certain pizza that they were advertising and she said we couldn’t buy it. What’s the point of advertising a pizza if u can’t buy that’s false advertising ridiculous.

This place is awesome for lunch! It’s all about bunch o lunch! $ 9 all you can eat pizza, salad, Mains and sides! Just remember this place is for fun people only, the atmosphere is great for groups, swing in and give this great place a try.

You’re an American if you don’t like shakeys. You know what you’re getting into when you come here. Pizza is great. Saturday afternoon bunch a lunch is nice and quiet. Everything is fresh. I love this place. Been coming here 20 years and will be coming another 20. Restaurant is very clean and super kid friendly. Great renovations.

Is pretty good, not complaining! Been there a couple of times with the family and everything is always good.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BELOVED SHAKEYS!!!
Before: Coming to this location WAS a family tradition. We would fly all the way from SF and NY just to share a pizza pie and the wonderful memories that we shared here as a family.
Now: The pizza is atrocious! Whatever the new management (or Corporate) is doing… STOP IT!!! You’re ruining an America.
I don’t normally leave comments, but I could not just stand by quietly this time as Shakeys IS making a horrible mistake with this new direction.
I’d give this review a negative 5 if I could.

Came here for a school fundraiser. Upon arriving it was packed (after being here I am going to assume it was because of the fundraiser and not the food).
First thing we do walking in is order our food. I have go say the service was good. The girl at the cashier was nice and informative. We ordered a family combo; medium 1-​topping pizza, 4 pieces of chicken, a mojos (which are potatoes that taste like wedges but are cut in rounds). It was about $ 28.
While we waited for our food we went to the play room. The play room is about 10 feet long and 4 wide. It is tiny with maybe 30 games and at least 8 were broken. We cashed a $ 5. At the end you win a bunch of tickets we got 100 but a lollipop cost 65. So we walked out with two candies.
By then our food was ready. We took the food to go. Our medium pizza was what normal pizza places call small. It didn’t taste that good. It hardly had any cheese on it. The chicken was decent. The mojos were decent. However, this a pizza place and I expected the pizza to taste at least better than frozen pizza and this pizza didn’t.
Also, we ordered a drink for while we played. You know on a hot summer day when you drink a pepsi and put a bunch of ice cuz it’s hot. The ice melts in with the drink and it waters down your pepsi. Well that’s exactly what pepsi tastes like in here, except I didn’t put a single ice cube in my pepsi.
