James W. Jenkins, DO

Dr. Jenkins is an osteopath who practices osteopathic manipulation medicine (omm). Osteopathic manipulation is a gentle way of correcting muscular or skeletal structure to help facilitate nervous system function and organ function (by correcting organ placement). Omm may be good for other things, but this is what I’ve experienced. I like Dr. Jenkins and would recommend him to anyone because he carefully explains everything to the patient, and takes the time to understand the patient’s whole health situation prior to beginning practice. His costs are also reasonable. When you call to make an appointment, you are actually calling the number for a licensed massage therapist who keeps the books for him. I have always had to leave a message, but she calls me back as soon as she gets it.
(I am adding this note for anyone used to allopathic medicine, but skiddish about alternative medicine: Dr. Jenkins is a career ER and trauma doctor. After at least 20 years of healthcare work, he is an expert in all things medical. I would trust him for any medical advice, not just osteopathic.)
