A very nice aquatic center equipped with a dive tank. Plenty of space for several swimming, water polo and diving practices to be held at the same time. The only problem is that it is located in a inconvenient place for everyone but residents of Moraga.

I love this pool — I went to Campo and I spent many a cross country practice treading water at 6 am in the diving pool. It’s lovely. The snotty woman from the Orinda swim club who greeted me after schmoozing with an older yuppie couple with a barked«no public lap swim today!» can shove it, though. Closure was not posted on their website that day. Not cool.

DIVING — YAY!!! There is a dedicated dive-tank 12+ feet deep with two 1m and two 3m boards. This is a bit of «shameless self promotion» ~ a new springboard diving program began providing lessons and teams at this facility. Our club is called CAL Diving Club(Yes, U.C. Berkeley). The 1m boards are in very good shape and there are 3m boards that are in-process of resurfacing. The water is kept at a good temperature for divers and there is plenty of deck space for dryland practice, training and warm-up.

Wonderful outdoor swimming facility with swimming lessons in the Spring, Summer & Fall(Tammy & her daughters are the best). We continue to make the drive there for lessons even after we moved from Moraga to Clayton because our daughter loves them! It can be difficult to find a nearby park in the lot because they hold so many meets but who can blame them? Its a beautiful facility. Highly recommend.

«Greatest Aquatics Complex West of The Mississippi» That’s what the Soda Center is billed as, and it delivers. A gorgeous Olympic sized pool, plus a lap pool and a diving well. All can support 25 yard distances, and ever so often the big one is open for long course(50 meter). It’s home to some of the finest aquatics programs(Campolindo HS and Orinda Aquatics) in the Bay Area, and it’s not uncommon to run into a future national champion on the pool deck. Ok, I’m biased. I swam at this pool for six years, and remember when it actually opened in the fall of 2000. It was so so so glorious. And I was also an employee, and I gotta say, you can’t beat lap swim without little kids to get in your way. Only minor issue is that there aren’t any lockers — but this IS Moraga, so chance of anything more than a stick of gum being stolen is slim to none.
