The flavor was good, but the last two times I’ve gone, my meat was overcooked and tough. There was also a ton of rice to meat ratio. I wish the tatziki was spicier(more garlic, not hot spicy).

Wanna know what’s really annoying? When Shish Kabob Show’s website says that they’re open on Monday and then when you arrive, their tacky little white sign on the window says«Closed.» Get your shit together.

This has nothing to do with Meditranian cuisine. The Shawrma displayed for decoration only and the Hummus, baba ganoush and Tabouli are terrible. This is ridiculous, don’t ever go there. This restaurant should close or change management immediately.

I am glad to drive 15 minutes and pass up 2 or 3 other places for this place. The customer service was good and the Chicken Shwarma was awesome!

It can not get any better. I’m a vegetarian and there are plenty of choices for me. The Falafel though, it’s delicious, both the wrap and the salad. All the other platters are beautifully designed with the right portions. Never had a bad experience from the service. They’re friendly and nice and I think they have set fair prices for their food. Well done!

Food is good. Been there several times over the last few years, but dinner there Friday turned us off for good. I never write bad reviews(write very few reviews) but this was beyond a honest mistake. Our bill was higher than we expected, even for this place, and when we notified our waitress about it she brought the tag back to the register to check it. She came back with the same bill saying that it added up the same, it’s just the tax wasn’t on the copy we got. We took her word for it, gave her a decent tip and left. When we got home, and I was taking the receipt out of my pocket, my curiosity got the best of me so I checked the receipt from the card and noticed not one, but TWO misc charges for $ 4. The drinks and dinners were on there, but we did not order anything else, let alone two ‘misc’ items! Again, usually I let little mistake slide and don’t slam a place for minor stuff, but I can’t help but think this was not a mistake. Check your bill carefully if you go here.

Finally tried this place. What a mistake. Maybe the mistake was taking it to go. The food I saw there looked ten times what I was given. Shriveled up chicken with some rice? Greek salad without any cucumbers and a few tomatoes in peak of tomato season? A thimble full of feta cheese on side and sweet dressing. Horrendous all served in a styrofoam container. Yes styrofoam. No forks or napkins either. Not returning. Décor inside nice though.

Eat here often. Good food but pricey. Owners are really nice and friendly. I’ve noticed the last couple of weeks that quality is a bit off but giving them benefit of the doubt as it’s summer and an owner has to take a day off now and again.

What happened??? I am visiting from out of town and have visited this restaurant before an d tonight was awful! They ran out of falafel! A Mediterranean restaurant running out at 6pm? The meats were all over cooked and dry. The grains also dry and boring. They gave the wrong order. Very disappointed. Very! Think twice.

Horrible! We’ve been here a couple of times and the food has been consistently good. Tonight’s dinner was a TOTAL disappointment! We were the ONLY party in the whole restaurant(we were a party of 10). 8 of us ordered the lamb(cooked medium to merdium rare) and EVERY single lamb entrée was NOTONLY cooked well done but considerably charred! All four kids’ lamb entrees were so overcooked and tough that they just ate the sides of rice and the 4 adult entrees of lamb were tough and/or slathered in sauce to hide the fact that the lamb was so poorly done. There were two chicken dishes that came out ok by seriously 8 out of 10 dishes done badly in a restaurant with only ONE(large) table that was occupied!!! Not sure what to say… just can’t believe how horrible dinner was tongiht

Love this place… We have been here a few times. Service is great and food delicious. Everything we have had here has been great. Save room, the baklava is the best I’ve ever had. Prices are very reasonable. We will be a regular.

Nice little place to grab lunch. Came in on a Saturday afternoon on a break from my classes at St Mary’s. You walk in and you can either sit down and have waiter service or you can walk up to the counter and order and they bring it to you. We ordered at the counter. They do a very tasty chicken schwarma. I asked to make it spicy and they added a curry sauce? I’m not sure what it was but it reminded me of curry which I am okay with. The whole thing was very tasty and put together well with good ingredients. They get a minus star because they burnt the shit out of my flat bread. I had to scrape off the black parts just to eat it and I didn’t want to send it back because I was in a rush to get back to class after from my lunch break. Overall a decent lunch spot if you are in the area. I will come back and hopefully they can not burn my bread on my schwarma.

I just signed up for Unilocal, and my very first posting is naturally goes to this amazing place. The combination of authentic food and great management is what make this place a pearl in Orinda. I heard great things about Shish Kabab Show through a friend, and from my first visit till now, I ate probably tried third of the dishes offered on the menu. The ‘Shakshuka’ and the ‘Shuarma’ are to die for! They have great deals all week around, which make this place even more yummy… Don’t get fixed on burgers and pizzas, try it out. Worth every penny :)

My husband and I tried Shish Kabob Show for the first time today, and we were very pleased. Everything was good – the vegetable soup, falafel, salmon, couscous, and baklava(although I will agree with another reviewer that their food is slightly on the oily side – but nevertheless, it’s fresh, flavorful, and nicely prepared). And the service was excellent. When they happened to notice me handing over my salad to my husband because of the cucumbers, they offered to make up a special salad for me. And as I waited for my salmon to be cooked a bit longer, they brought me an extra soup. And the owner, who was serving us, was delightful. As for cost, even though the extra soup and salad was free of charge, the total was still on the pricier side, so this is not a place we would go on a regular basis – but definitely recommended.

This hidden gem was a great find. Great food and excellent service. I see some people talking about the hummus here; liked it so much took a large portion to go. They have several gluten free options and their soups are homemade. A return trip here is on the horizon.

As far as I’m concerned, this place it as good as it gets for Mediterranean food(at least in the Lamorinda area). The first time my guy and I came here for lunch, the food was so mind-blowingly delicious that we ate in almost complete silence throughout the entire meal so that we could savor every last bite. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly; the owner even came over to chat with us for a while during our meal! As far as the food goes, I highly recommend the dolmas, hummus, falafel and the salmon filet. They also have nutella crepes here! On Fridays and Saturdays, they have a belly dancer come and perform for the restaurant patrons. It’s definitely cool to watch; however, I have to admit that it was a little awkward to watch the dancer perform while we ate our meal. The place is pretty small and well-lit, so people trying to eat their meal during the performance are easy to spot. I felt rude every time I resumed eating! To the amazing belly dancer: I’m definitely not ignoring you; I’m just starving and the food is just too damn delicious! While I am deeply saddened that Fudge Alley is gone(Frank always remembered me whenever I came back to visit the East Bay), I can honestly say that this might be the best restaurant in Moraga. Definitely check this place out!

My SO and I got dinner take-out from Shish Kabab Show tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was ready in 15 minutes from when we placed our order(even though they were obviously very busy with other to-go orders) and the owners were very sweet to us! I have been to Israel twice and fell in love with the food… this brought me right back there! I ordered the chicken schnitzel dinner, which came with dill rice, hummus, salad Katzutz(traditional Israeli salad of chopped tomatoes, cucumber, olive oil, and lemon juice) and fresh whole wheat pita… delicious! For $ 12, this was a very ample serving, I was able to share and STILL had leftovers! My partner and friends all got the chicken shwarma, which was also tasty, although shwarma has never really been my thing. Also healthy servings, they too had leftovers! I didn’t eat in, but I did take note of the fact that it was a clean, well-lit restaurant with nice wood tables and pleasant décor. They also had outdoor seating, which would be very pleasant on a night like tonight! Next time I’m in Moraga, I’d definitely come back here to eat!
