Brought our daughters here to see the Cal Poly Men’s Basketball game after thanksgiving. We sprung for the reserve chair tickets which are $ 35 a seat but when we walked in and realized this stadium is smaller than some high school stadiums we realized we could have just done general admission. The seats we were given were first row of section c which sounds great but we were the last four seats so we were basically shoved in the corner with limited visuals. We were behind the water cooler for Cal Poly and weren’t even high enough to see over it. Which was a bummer. And the manager stood up the whole time and we couldn’t see over him either. They were very cool and changed our seats to a higher level which was nice. Lesson learned for next game.

What a great place to watch a basketball game. All of the seats have great views. I came with some friends to watch Bishop O Dowd High school play some NCS basketball game. These are the best teams of the local high schools playing. BOD has a 6 – 10 player name Ivan Rabb who is on every college’s radar screen. The McKeon Pavillion is located on the beautiful St Mary’s University in Moraga, CA. The stadium sits 3,500 and their are two big sections on each side of the basketball court. During the normal basketball season St Marys plays the local universities USF and Santa Clara. About the concessions. Popcorn, hot dogs, candy and sodas. What more could you ask for. One thing to remember at any NCAA arena they do not serve beer. No beer drinking period. Great place to watch a venue.

It’s small and cramped, but a great place to watch college basketball. Especially when the students are out in full force.

As an alumnus, who has watched the basketball team grow into an awesome mid-major these past ten plus years, the lost opportunity kills me. They should have started fund raising and planning for a new stadium BEFORE we went to the sweet 16 — after it should have been cake. But instead, they keep making yearly improvements to this crap-hole of a high school gym, which is why we will never see Duke or Kentucky or any big school agree to play us, because they can sell out 10−15k seat arenas out, so why fly all the way to California for a game that maxes out at 3500? The general admission seats are hot, the gym is a sweaty mess every time the place gets over 75% full. Maybe one day this athletic department will pull its head out and see the potential this program has, but as long as it puts forward a half effort, we’ll just be a half a program.
