No. Owner is a b****, prices super high and she hates teenagers.

All I can say is Buyer Beware! The mystic tanner is full of plain old moisturizer but NO tanning cream! I kindly expressed my concern to Loris and the response was basically that I must have done something wrong, have to wait longer to see the color or buy their tanning accelerator and apply that first, all complete nonsense! I have been getting mystics for years and know exactly what to expect and how to do it. In any event, instead of just being civil and returning my money or offering another tan for free they said no and they were very rude. I wish I read all the reviews first, I can see the bad attitude and lack of any self tanner in the mystic has been a common complaint.
My advice, go to Glo Tanning in Walnut Creek or San Ramon!
Okay, so after I wrote this review, Lori did call me and assured me she would make good with what happened on my mystic tan, since I have been a good customer for 8 years. So, that being said I am changing my star rating from 1 star to 4 stars.

I’m not sure what some of these reviewers are complaining about. I do not go to a business for the personality of the shopkeeper, I go for the product. That said, I have always found Lori to be helpful and friendly. She is knowledgable and has always advised towards safely tanning so no one gets burned. I had one experience with a self tanner (long time ago) and did not understand that I needed to towel off… she immediatly helped me and gave me a credit. I like the clean environment and the little pups that often greet me! I have followed Lori on two moves, and I would do it again.

I first started tanning at Lori’s when I first moved to Moraga 12 years ago and I’ve been going ever since. Lori is very knowledgeable and has the years of experience to back it. I’ve gone to other tanning salons where the person at the front desk barely acknowledges you or pause their phone call with friends to check you in. But Lori’s is definitely not that kind of place and you know you’re going to get top notch help as soon as you walk in the door. And if you’re in the market for sun/​swimwear, then Lori’s is the place to go. The selection is great, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask — they can order almost anything! I just love this place and I wish all businesses were run like Lori runs hers!

Lori’s Swim & Sun is a great place to get a tan. All employees know what they are talking about and help their customers tan safely. Their beds are clean and well kept. As far as pricing, they are the cheapest I have found. I love that they are always willing to support their community, especially Saint Mary’s students. Bring your student ID to get a discount!

The employees are very experienced and know alot about tanning and what to do/​not do. They keep you on a healthy schedule of tanning and monitor you so you arent getting burned.
Their tanning lotions are inexpensive due to the fact she passes the discount she gets onto the customers =)
I will never go anywhere else to tan because they know what they are doing and help me tan in the healthiest way possible!
They also have great bathing suits. I have been buying my suits there for 6 years now and i have never been unhappy with my purchases. They are unique and fit amazingly.

I love Lori’s! She is so sweet and really cares about her customers and their well being. I know tanning is a guilty pleasure to many but Lori offers insightful advice as well as affordable prices for sunless tanning! She carries a huge assortment of tanning lotions and at the lowest prices in town as well as a huge inventory of cute flip flops and dresses and bikinis! I buy a new dress or coverup every other visit because she is always getting new stuff in. She is the cleanest salon I have been to and most affordable as well!

Lori and Lucy are the best! I have been a customer for years. In that time, I have seen the business change (three locations) and expand. It has always improved. Lori maintains the equipment for safety and efficiency. She cares about her customers and you become «family.» I have never had a bad experience tanning at Lori’s. I highly recommend anyone who wants a personal experience to try Lori’s!

In case you are ever out in Moraga and feel like tanning, Lori’s is a good place to do this. They are inexpensive and clean. If you can find your student ID card from college and don’t look like a cougar, you can get the student rate. The girls and boys at the front aren’t really that smart to realize you are pushing 30 and not an undergrad.
