We were passing through Mora with friends and decided to try Rene’s. The fun and funky 50’s décor just added to the yummy food. Our group had burgers and a BLT. The food arrived in a timely manner, hot and delicious. The French fries, which we requested to be extra crispy, were perfect. I would recommend Rene’s!

We ate here for lunch today and I have to say the french fries were the best I have ever had! So crisp and seasoned perfectly! Hamburgers we excellent too. We will be back!

Rene’s is a popular place for breakfast and also for its brisket, served for lunch as a sandwich and with mashed potatoes and veggie for dinner. Biscuits and gravy are excellent as are their breakfast burritos. If a skillet special is offered with home fried potatoes, go for it! The Little Alaska Ice Cream Parlor is the restaurant’s little secret, so if you want ice cream, this is the place to go.

I’ve stopped twice now at this little diner in Mora while riding my motorcycle through the area. The fish sandwich is a frozen and fried fare but very tasty with good tarter sauce. The chicken fried steak is thin, perfectly breaded and has a great gravy to accompany it and the mash potatoes. It was excellent!
