My son works for the golf course so I tend to go here often. The food is always very good and all of the wait staff and bartenders are super friendly and fun people. The buffet dinners on Friday and Saturday are always excellent. I hadn’t written a review before and I’m not really sure why but after last night’s dinner, I felt I needed to get the word out. Since I had to pick up my son from the course and I was taking dinner to my parents(since my mother just got out of the hospital and I just wanted to help out), I placed an order around 3:00 to be picked up about 5:00. Would that be a problem? No, no problem at all. I got the blackened seafood salad for all of us and that’s the real reason I’m writing this review. I just can’t get over how good it was! The perfect portion of shrimp and scallops were cooked to absolute perfection. That blended with a mixture of fresh greens, a little onion, gorgonzola, candied walnuts, other stuff I’m sure I’m forgetting, and an excellent dressing(not sure what it was but wow it was good) that made for perhaps the best salad I’ve ever had — and I’m really not much of a salad eater. Everything else I’ve ever gotten here has always been good. The dining room and patio are very comfortable and kind of have that neighborhood bar sort of feel(think«:Cheers»). The regulars there are all friendly and will talk to anyone and invite you to be part of the group if you just want to hang out for a few beers. I don’t drink but I understand that Paul, one of the bartenders, makes a bloody mary that can’t be beat. I would recommend TJ’s to anyone!

Last week when we went I would have given this at least 4 stars. I would like to give this one star, but to be fair from last week’s positive experience I’m adding one more. The bartender was awesome, friendly and the food was good. They had a bloody mary bar which was pretty cool and they were trying it out for the first time. Fast forward to today’s visit. NIGHTMARE. I get there at 10:45 and no one acknowledges us until 11:04. When the server finally did come, she was friendly and got us our drinks right away. There were five of us. A little while later a different server came and took our order but didn’t write anything down. I ordered over easy eggs with chorizo and hashbrowns(I like to mix it all together and it’s not a problem anywhere else). My daughter wanted pancakes, but then changed her mind and wanted French toast. My cousin ordered a side of fruit. He comes back and says they ran out of fruit. He brings our food about 45 minutes later. He brings me hard fried eggs scrambled and I told him I asked for over easy eggs. He gave me an attitude and said how would I like the chorizo and I told him on the side. He brings my daughter pancakes instead of the French toast. When I told him she wanted French toast he argued with me and my husband and took the plate away in a huff. He comes back out and says they don’t have any more chorizo. Fine. The bill comes. He charged me for the chorizo they didn’t have, the fruit my cousin ordered that they didn’t have and my daughter’s meal which was supposed to be free. Kids eat free on Sundays with purchase of a regular entrée. He argued and said it was only free if we bought from the bloody mary bar. My husband showed him on the menu that it said with purchase of an entrée. He then tried to tell me the fruit charge was for my hashbrowns and I had to show him the menu that said my eggs came with hashbrowns. The revised bill comes. He charged me for TEN mimosas and still the fruit charge was on there. We only ordered six mimosas. He brought the bill back again and I finally just paid it. Never again. Complete incompetence. What should have been an hour turned into two.

Great Prime Rib Buffet. Thanks Jayson & the entire staff. I’m glad we finally found the time to come in. Next time we will call in reservations for a great table outside.

We came here because our tee time had been delayed due to frost. I haven’t eaten breakfast, so that was probably lucky for me. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area, with a fireplace on the inside and heat lamps on the outside(very necessary in the winter weather!). I ordered the veggie omelet with hashbrowns($ 9) while my companions order the breakfast sandwich($ 8 if you add sausage or bacon). I was thinking it was a little spendy until I saw the size of the plate — it was massive! The plate could have easily fed two, especially if you’re not trying to stuff yourself before the round. The omelet was good — it came with broccoli, tomatoes, onions, and cheese, and the veggies were seasoned nicely. The hashbrowns were standard; a good carb to fill you up.

Having a beer, checked out menu they serve breakfast and lunch to 4:00 pm on Fri and Sat. Friday and Sat are dinner buffets, looks ok. Not eating here tonight but menu looking good for a hamburger. OK patio seating atmosphere. Three star for now.

Go, run, quickly to TJ’s for their world’s finest BACON! Yes I said it, bacon bacon bacon! Ever since my buddies and I started playing golf at Tierra Rejada, we’ve always stopped in at TJ’s for lunch with the exception of Mother’s Day 2014 when it was closed for lunch, reservations only. TJ’s is the clubhouse diner inside Tierra Rejada. They sell beer and wine, cocktails, they have breakfast, lunch and dinner and they event throw event brunches and dinners. Prime rib Saturdays? Call in for a reservation as the prime rib usually sells out. Fried chicken dinner? Sure! Mother’s Day brunch, you got it. TJ’s is a nice clubhouse restaurant. I also believe they have the best BACON anywhere! No lie! You have to order their fried bacon folks!
