Great value. Friendly staff especially the cashiers. Yummy dishes full of flavor and large portions. This isn’t fast food though so give yourself extra time or call your order ahead. Very friendly environment despite a very busy night.

Like the person before me said, the food is great, but the girl taking phone orders and in person is rude as can be! We definitely don’t go as often because it sucks having to deal with her and she seems to be always working! But after we eat the food, we decide it isn’t as bad dealing with her for the food we get. :) Their food is always fresh and super good! Maybe the New Year will bring a smile to her face, and in return, happier customers!

My mother loves this place. I think she hyped it up a wee bit too much for me because when I sat down with her for my tacos they were not very fresh and the tortilla was kinda hard. The meat and salsa was a high point, but it seems like nothing special. There is a bar in the back half so maybe I should come back during happy hour and hang out with some friends. However in the middle of a school day I was just disappointed.

The review is for the food. The cashier gets no reviews cuz she sucks, she is rude and no customer service skills. Anywho, the food is good here. So far I had the nachos and the flautas, which I think they messed up once and gave me taqitos. They give you generous portions and the food is authentic. Ive only been to this mexican restaurant and I got to say not to bad for being in Moorpark. It is a bit pricey, I can get cheaper prices in better Mexican restaurants in Oxnard but beggers cant be choosers. I would def recommend and will be coming back

Love this restaurant bar. Staff are all friendly and quick. Not expensive. We love their margaritas and great food. They are very liberal with their chips and salsa too.

Full bar, California burrito is great. Only eaten here once. Kinda out of the way for me since I leave in «downtown moorpark» it’s next to the high school. I would avoid going if the school is getting out. Lots of traffic. The michelada was good.

This place seems to be getting a bad rap. I went there because it was new in town and they look like they just expanded. I found it to be fun, good price and just friendly. We needed something like this restaurant on the side of Moorpark.

The food is terrible. My daughter ordered chicken wings with no sauce. They brought wings dripping in buffalo sauce — honest mistake and no big deal. We sent them back and asked the waitress to correct the order. They took the wings back to the kitchen, dunked them back in the fryer, put them on a clean plate and brought them back to the table. Are you kidding me — I wonder what the health department would say about putting food in the fryer that’s been on someone’s table. Unfortunately that’s not the worst thing that was served to us. The California burrito is more of a French fry burrito than an actual burrito and the tortilla soup taste like a dirty diaper smells. Avoid at all cost!!!

Gave me and the 3 other people I was with severe food poisoning. We we’re hospitalized. A friend of mine was here about a month ago and also got food poisoning. People are paying to get sick??? You’d think after the first report of this, they would have done something to fix the problem.

The food was a little overpriced compared to other Mexican food restaurants around the area. My main complaint was that my food was borderline cold. The shredded beef taco I purchased was literally soggy and colder what I would call«lukewarm.» Service was mediocre but overall I just think there are much better options and for a better price.

This place did not reach my expectation or anywhere near it. The chips were stail, not even warmed up. The tacos ended up being very small, and on top of that my shredded beef taco tasted like mush. I took one bite and it was COLD, as in if it was sitting there or something!!! The service took forever and on top of that the cashier rolled her eyes at me when i couldnt decide on which taco I wanted. rude. never going there again. worst $ 14 that ive ever spent.

Would give this 0 stars if possible. Living in Moorpark, it’s not often I give poor reviews to local businesses, but this was unacceptable. Ordered take out for the family only to find each burrito cold. Not the sour cream or guacamole, but the tortilla, beans, meat, and cheese, all cold. Take out was not a call in, but an order at the store and a 1 minute drive home. Additionally, while waiting for the food, we asked for a glass of water, only to find a bug frozen within the ice cubes.

It’s a good Mexican restaurant. Not great. Definitely not clean. The food arrives in fairly large portions and there are open bottles of hot sauce and stuff everywhere. It’s like being in the Valley… Yay… I much prefer eating at El Tap on New LA Ave. The food here is average. Nothing special. I don’t think I will come back.

We’ve been sitting here 50 minutes and have only received water and the free chips. No drinks and no food. Its a sad comedy at this point. Given, it’s busy and this place is small but they are severely understaffed and unprepared to serve the pubic. Shame on the management. Worst service situation I’ve had in years. Won’t be returning. UPDATE: Over an hour after we sat down the food began to arrive. Mine was cold. My wife’s had rice despite specific instructions not to include it. My daughter’s meal NEVERSHOWED. We got out check and left. First time I’ve zero tipped in over 10 years. Horrible place. Should be closed down.

This is our neighborhood spot. Food is what’s good and we have never been disappointed… ever. we eat here at last twice a week, even if it’s just for a quick taco and margarita, which is fantastic. The owner cares about this place and you can feel it… it’s a hole in the wall, but it’s our hole. Nothing fancy, just good Mexican food Try the“steak picado” ;)

Really bad customer service!!! Not a smile. Not a thanks. Just bad. I always put extra salsa on my food so I could have so kind of taste… Meat has no taste, I have eat a lot a lot better Mexican food than this place. They are lucky to get a one star!!!

This eatery has two sides. The one side your order at the counter and then get self serve drinks and chips. The other side has a bar and sit down service. I DONOTRECOMMENDSITTINGONTHERESTARAUNT/BAR SIDE! The service has been pretty bad, and it has been every time we have tried it. I do suggest eating on the other side of the restaurant. They have the best chile rellenos. Veggie Burritos are good. Free Chips and Salsa. I really like their Pico De Gallo Avoid noon hour during the week as its overrun with the high school students. If you do go during that time you have to ask for the Pico and the Chips. Decent food with consistent quality. ADD: I have noticed the quality going down my last few visits. I do not know what is going on. There was NO Pico De Gallo the last time I was there. I mentioned it and they had no intention of filling it back up. As for customer service, we are pretty frequent customers but you never get any acknowledgement. The owner looks through us like we are invisible.

I’ve been going here for a while now, and I am definitely a fan. It is a small family run type of place, which can be hit or miss. In this case, it’s usually a hit. Sometimes, they might be out of something, like tamales for example. But then, that means they aren’t just sitting around coming out of a freezer so that’s all good. Good menu selection, with a number of combination plates and house specialties as well. The burritos are good size so be hungry if you order one. They make breakfast food too, which is a big plus. I recommend the chorizo burrito for sure. They open at 9 on weekdays but worth the wait. Another item worth trying: the sweet corn tamales. They are super good, but super hot when you first get them. Save them for dessert after a massive burrito mojado, you’ll be glad you did. Reasonable prices, free chips and salsa(including to go orders too), kid plates, and beer and wine available make this family run strip-mall Mexican place a good choice if you’re near Moorpark High School and craving Mexican. Do it!
