My partner ordered me a Basic PLUS Homebrew Starter Kit. The kit itself is pretty badass. It arrived in lightning fast speed. He ordered it for me on a Thursday and it arrived on Friday. I’m sure it helped that they appear to be located in SoCal and so are we. Regardless though that is pretty awesome. A few things I need to note about my specific kit.
For my specific kit, it comes with a carboy, but does not come with a #7 stopper for the airlock. It’s not the biggest deal in the world, they are like a buck at the local brew shop. in fairness it’s MY fault for not noticing it when I placed my order. Just noting it for anyone ordering a kit that you’ll need to grab one.
I really like this kit though because it came with a carboy, fermenting bucket AND bottling bucket. Since I am using the carboy it is nice to have a bucket for bottling and use the extra fermenting bucket for sanitizer… or who knows… I might just start another batch of beer :-)
My only other issue was that when I went to pull the hydrometer out of the sample jar it was broken. I gave them a call today and they are shipping me out a new one today so that is some awesome service.
They have some great prices on other items as well. Between the two local brew shops that I love and this website I am sitting pretty on equipment and ingredients.
