The service was horrible and the food was not hot. Will not be going back. If you are thinking about going here, save your money and go somewhere else.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Just walking in the door the hostess area reeked of cigarette smoke. Fortunately we were sat promptly otherwise I would have walked out. We sat for 10 minutes browsing our menus with no waitress in sight. Finally, our waitress came over to take our drink order. We went ahead and ordered an appetizer as well. 15 minutes later our appetizer shows up, still no drinks. Our waitress, no where to be found. She finally comes out with a basket full of bricks(she said they were cooking fresh yeast rolls and that she’d bring those out when they were done) Yeah, we never got those fresh rolls btw. She takes our order and rings it in the computer directly in front of me. My drink was getting low and she noticed and said she’d be right back with a refill. 20 minutes later our food comes and I’m sipping on an empty cup. Still. Finally got a refill halfway through dinner, luckily my husband had a glass of water with his beer order. The only positive was the food was decent. Service was the worst I’ve had in a very long time. Won’t be back and will not be recommending this place to my worst enemy!

Me and the fiancé were both in the mood for a steak tonight, we decided to check Sagebrush out since we were pretty hungry and not feeling the longer drive to Outback. Overall the food was good, however the service wasn’t impressive at all. I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have a lot of time. We ended up with a waitress who was new. Having worked in food industry before I’m pretty patient with new people because everyone has to learn, but when my fiancé asked if they had Dos Equis to drink her response was«a what? I have no idea, I’m new.» had I been her I immediately would’ve found a co-worker to ask but her hesitation prompted him to just ask for a different kind of beer. Our appetizer(onion petals) took a very long time, apparently the kitchen had to remake it for whatever reason but when they finally came out they were delicious dipped in the included sauce. After finishing our bread, appetizer and salads we were still left waiting a pretty long time for our entrees. We both ordered ribeyes and baked potatoes, they were good and both cooked the way we requested. For a steakhouse I personally thought my steak had a slightly excessive amount of fat on it, but I admit I am rather picky about meat. My fiancé’s looked perfect though. My biggest complaint is how long everything took, it was a very long meal considering it wasn’t even busy for a Saturday night. We overheard both tables around us complaining, both unhappy with the speed of service and one unsatisfied with the way their food came out. Next time we will probably just drive the extra 15 minutes to Outback, it probably would’ve ended up taking the same amount of time anyway with the long wait.

I’ve been a couple of times, and each time my experience has been less than memorable. I’ve stood waiting for several minutes because there was no host/hostess, even when the restaurant is dead and there are no other customers. Being a steakhouse, you’d think they would offer high quality cuts of meat, but alas, the steaks I’ve had here are no better than what you’d eat in chain diners like Sizzler or Coco’s. The worst experience, I ordered a steam veggie as my side. Upon eating, I discovered the bottom half of a plastic wrap. It appears that they steam their veggies in little plastic pouches, which is fine with me, but they didn’t bother to remove all of the plastic! Yikes. I’d give it one star, but it gets two from me since at least the people have always been nice, and the prices are decent. But I’m done coming to this place.

Disappointed does not even begin to explain my experience at Sagebrush this evening. My family(3 other adults and a 5 yr old) were happy to find a restaurant so un-crowded at 7pm on a Friday and decided to give it a try. We were seated promptly, though it took more than 5 minutes for our waitress to actually appear at our table and take our drink & appetizer orders. Thankfully, those arrived at our table within 5 – 10 minutes. After that, I’m almost positive the staff forgot we were in the restaurant. Our waitress appeared at our table maybe every 20 minutes(much too long for proper service) and the restaurant was more than half empty. After waiting 45 minutes, we started getting antsy. When we asked our waitress(who had never given us her name) why we hadn’t received our food yet, she replied that they had two big parties and they were behind. After an hour had passed, the manager came by, made the same excuse and finally brought my 5 yr old nephew’s chicken tenders. By this time, it was after 8 and he had practically fallen asleep at the table. At 8:20, we gave up. We received no apology for the inexcusable service and left hungrier than we had arrived. We promptly drove to the local Chick-fil-a and I received a delicious dinner in five minutes flat, even with a huge line. Bottom line: All I wanted was a steak dinner with my family and what I received was rude and inattentive service… And ended up eating fast food instead. Maybe this restaurant was deserted for a reason.

Big Improvement from the last time. Last time I ate at this restaurant was when they had just reopened as a Sagebrush. I was not impressed at the time but stopping by today was a pleasant surprise. While it’s got a ways to go, it’s a big improvement from what it was. I’ve eaten at Sagebrushes in Denver, NC, Mocksville, and Brevard and it’s now one of the better ones. For lunch, I order the 14 oz Ribeye with Fries and a Side Salad. The Side Salad was excellent with the Balsalmic Vinegarette. The Ribeye was suppose to be medium rare and it was closer to well done and a bit on the dry side with a touch texture. The Fries needed more time in the deep frier. My wife started with a Wedge Salad which she enjoyed but had to send her loaded Potato Soup back to be reheated. Once at proper temperature, she liked it. Service was a negative point the last time I was here but there has been a complete turnaround since then. Our service today was excellent and we could not have been more pleased with our server. You could see that management has taken steps to insure that all patrons recieve prompt courteous service. Décor is still a cheesy faux Western motif from our of the late 60’s or early 70’s when you had chains like Bonanza Steak House, Ponderosa or others. Don’t take me wrong. Nothing against this décor but it adds little to the dining experience.

I have not been to a Sagebrush since there was one in Statesville. We were looking for a place to eat and decided to try the Sagebrush and see if it is any better in Mooresville. Right off the bat we were disappointed. The waitress seemed a little off and was not friendly. She made a few oddball comments then after she walked away we talked about wondering why she said those things. She was late to fill our drinks and we did not even get any bread until our entrée came out. There was one other table around us that our waitress was taking care of and they got their bread before their entrée so not sure what happened with our waitress forgetting about us. At one point she said she was going to get us refills for our drinks and then we did not see her for about 10 minutes. Even the manager said she was coming to refill my water. We assumed we would see her right away. We did not and in fact did not see her again at all. Our bread was not very tasty and my salad dressing covered every inch of my salad so much that it was not appetizing. My husband’s seafood meal with fries was average nothing amazing. My steak was average, again nothing amazing. Waitress was very pushy about us purchasing a dessert even after we said more then once we were not interested. Between the lackluster service and food, I would not return here at all. This is a place you want to skip.

A+ Service From Start to Finish!!! I live in mooresville and have driven past the black and white sign numerous times. The other night something told me to try it. Best decision! The service was incredible from our server Susan. Very attentive, sweet, and hospitable. Our steaks were spot on. We later found out by Susan that they have a butcher who does the cuts daily, and let me tell you, it showed. The Manager named Jessie stopped at our table to welcome us in and again at the end of the night to thank us for dining with them. It really makes your heart warm when you have a wonderful dining experience. I wish you all the best and we will be back. Ps– it’s SUPER affordable ;)

Great service from both the waitress and the manager, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Food was delicious, and so was the desert. Steak with above average dinner salad was amazing. Kids eat free Wednesdays which saved me 10 bucks.

By far the best service of any restaurant in Mooresville! Food is fantastic, off the beaten path, so it’s easy to overlook, but well worth it!!!

I was in town on business and decided to try this place out. The Ribeye had a great grilled taste, the salad crisp and delicious, broccoli was crunchy and had a nice buttery taste and the coffee was fresh and smooth. The service was great. Lashonda, my server, was very friendly and did an excellent job. I will certainly eat here again when I am back in the area. It was a perfect meal on a cold rainy night!

We had dinner at this location using our«Be Our Guest» cards that we received after a horrible experience at another Sagebrush location. We had a potato skins appetizer that was very good, side salads were great as were the baked potato‘s. The only thing that we could complain about were the steaks, but they were replaced with no problem at all. I opted to get the Billy Bobs Bonsai Chicken instead which was really, really good. It was moist and flavorful. My husband got a refired ribeye, but it still didn’t taste very good. We came to the conclusion that it is because they do not use a lot of seasoning on their steaks. Otherwise the steak was beautiful. It was a nice cut of meat, and cooked perfect. The flavor just wasn’t there. The customer service was out of this world. The waitress and the manager were both very friendly and professional. I would return to this location but wouldn’t order steak next time.
