I have been here mostly for the buffet(and once for dinner I think). Food variety for the buffet is great! But after Zaika is all remade, my first choice is no longer Mint. Mint is your standard Indian food, but pretty delicious. They have good food choices, and what makes them stand out from their competition(Zaika and Sangam) is that they have a DIY chaat corner… Yum. I could go here and eat nothing but their chaat and gulab jamuns. We took a friend of ours here and he couldn’t stop raving about how the gulab jamuns melted in his mouth and exploded with flavor.(Think Indian version of right-off-the-conveyor Krispy Kreme doughnuts). Must go here for those if nothing else.

Very good service and the food was served eloquently. Not knowing much about the culture I asked for very spicy oh my was it hot. It was so good I could not stop eating knowing my mouth was totally consumed in fire. I’m sure I lost a few brain cells and I think I’m blind in one eye. But it was awesome ! I say next time your in the area, man up and ask for the spicy stuff and tell them not to hold back. The price was surprisingly low.

I had a terrible experience here. I am highly allergic to tree nuts, and so I asked about a specific dish on the menu to make sure it was safe for me to eat. The waiter said that it was, but after three bites of my meal, I started having an allergic reaction. Luckily, I had antihistamine medication with me, so I was fine. However, in my mind, this type of incident is completely unacceptable because of the health risks involved not just for me, but for other customers with allergies as well. I will not be dining here again.

Saturday evening, and two large groups occupied the middle section of the restaurant. Seemed like a mixed message. Every other table in the place was empty. Were we intruding? Was this the only place able to take-in a large party with no notice, because it’s a ghost-town, otherwise? We were seated immediately, but then ignored for quite a while. We were debating getting up to leave, when we were suddenly attended to. When we were politely trying to excuse ourselves, I explained that they seemed very, very busy with the people in the middle, and that we would come another day… that we were very hungry and concerned our wait would be very long at this point… we were assured that our order would be placed ahead of the other’s, to make sure we’d eat in a timely manner. So we stayed. As promised, our food was served, lightning-fast. So fast, it was cool. I suspect, as with many restaurants in today’s world, the food was pre-made and sitting in a bin in the back… Other buffet restaurants I’ve seen, do this same thing. Make bins, and serve this, instead of hot, fresh food. The food was over-all, tasty. We had such a better experience at another Indian restaurant in the Charlotte area, I would prefer to go elsewhere.

Relaxing environment and good food. Thoroughly enjoyed a pint of Taj Mahal beer with medium spicy Dal Makhani and garlic naan. Nothing formal about the wait staff, making for a nice meal if dining alone.

We eat here very often for dinner and have been coming since 2011. We consistently get great food and great service. I’ve tried the chicken curry, lamb curry and goat curry and all are very good. Last night I had the lamb curry hot, my wife had the butter chicken which she said was excellent and my son had the fish curry that he thoroughly enjoyed. We always throw in some garlic naan bread that’s delicious.

I guess all good things must come to an end. We’ve been coming here since this place opened and have noticed a constant and steady decline in both the quality of food and service. The guy(waiter) that is always there for lunch buffet really can’t be bothered with much of anything. How difficult is it(for a buffet) get drinks and naan out to tables when the place is empty? My overall restaurant experience here has gone from a 5 to a consistent 2 which is where we stop attempting to see if this place has made a turnaround.

I ordered Chhole Bhature, first i felt the bhature were not as crispy but chholle compensated… They were delicious. The quantity was more than enough so we got the lamb biryani packed and that was also delicious… I am certainly going here again

For dinner, we had the Vegetable Samosas, Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, and garlic Naan bread. It was all very good. Service was very good and restaurant clean. They have a lunch buffet that sound good so I will be back for that.

This restaurant is in good location. It’s nice and quite in here. The ambience is good and the food was okay, could have been better. The presentation of the food is not so good, plates and the serve ware look cheap. Will go back to try other items in the menu.

Hubby and I love Indian food. We were on top of the hill so decided to try Mint as we’ve been to(& liked) Zaika. Like many others have said, the flavor and food selection from the weekend buffet was really good! Naan was brought out fresh & hot to the table(yum). Overall the food was really good! However I agree with others on service. Out server never smiled and actually looked like he didn’t want to be there. The décor is a little on the drag/boring side. If the service and décor was as nice as Zaika it would get more stars because the food was really good!

Some things that are utterly unacceptable in Boston get 3 strikes, or 3 opportunities to make it right here. Partly due to the dearth of choices, and partly because s-l-o-w was likely invented in The South. And when in Rome… do as the«Romans» do: forgive and — s-l-o-w– d-o-w-n. There are so many options for ethnic food in metro Boston, if you don’t like your 1st experience at one, there are a dozen more within a short distance eager to earn your business and more still if you expand your radius. Indian is no exception. I understand this is Mooresville, NC and you are lucky to have 2 choices for Indian. The best news is there is a choice. Because there is a choice, couldn’t-care-less service doesn’t require endorsement. Zaika Indian is just over the hill across from HH Gregg and next door to Hickory Tavern. While I cannot deny that the food at Mint is tasty, it is overshadowed by some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. So, I’ve taken my money to the other choice for Indian in Mooresville — Zaika. The owners are friendly, attentive, and industrious. The restaurant is clean, aesthetically pleasing, has a higher sanitation rating and earned a People’s Choice Award for Best Indian, Mooresville, 2014. So, I don’t have to tolerate waiting for a glass to be refilled while«Hassan» talks on his cell phone outside, or wait for him to notice that I am standing at the counter waiting to pay my bill while he smokes outside or watch his facial expression change because his leisure activity was interrupted. Dear Mint Fellas, Maybe your origin is elsewhere, NYC for instance. This is The South. They are known throughout the U.S., if not the world, for their hospitality. If your business is doing so well that you can afford to hire professional front-of-the-house staff — Do it, or hang up the phone. SMILE at the red-neck, church goin’, nature killin’, gay hatin’, «bless their hearts sum-b*tches», because that’s how they do it in The South. They have a history of smiling through it all. They get their hair done. They put their metaphorical make-up on. So, hang up the damn cell phone, come inside, and SERVE your patrons! Not only is that Southern hospitality, that’s good business. The people don’t need you. You need the people.

Mint — a nice cool place to enjoy food with peaceful atmosphere, absolutely no disturbance and I mean it. We go to Mint almost every week and our regular menu is by heart to everybody there. I recommend anybody who eats at Mint to try out their Medium Spicy Shrimp Curry with Hot n Fresh Garlic Naan. And I bet you will love to have if every time you visit. Me and my Wife are the Big Fans of Mint Shrimp Curry. Very nicely cooked with a slight hint of coconut and curry leaves makes it yummy with the Hot Garlic Naan We just love it at Mint in Mooresville I haven’t tried other things here hence not be able to comment.

Highly recommended if you like Indian food or if you want to try it. The buffet is a great way to learn about Indian foods and the first thing you will learn is that it is not all as spicy as you thought it would be. They have a lunch buffet every day. I most often go on weekdays. The buffet is always plentiful and fresh. Upon seating you will quickly be served with some very fresh naan(flat Indian bread). Fresh naan is essential in enjoying the stews that are served here. Two different kinds of rice every time. Chicken Marsala is always good as well as tandoori chicken and of course some fantastic vegetarian dishes as well. There is raita, Indian yogurt with fresh vegetables as well as several side spices that you can use to fire things up as much as you want.

I have only been here for lunch. Each of the 4 times the buffet was hot and fresh. On Friday the buffet was a bit bigger, but as other reviewers have stated, it takes up a lot of room in this small space. All the employees I have encountered were not overly friendly, but efficient. If you have vegetarian in your party, this is the place to go in Mooresville. I have tried all the dishes and have never been disappointed. Some of the curries and dessert items were not to my taste, but my friend from India says they are quite authentic.
