Very professional staff who take good care of you. I had polio as a child and my feet need special care every now and then. Generally problems with the nails or arches and this is where my family physican sent me. I had to have a problem nail removed a couple of years ago by Dr. Shapiro and it kept growning back. Finally succeeded after the third time and it’s been great ever since. Needed my nails trimmed again so I made an appointment with Dr Shapiro again for 10 am this morning. Arrived on time but had to wait because there had been an emergency case they had to fit in and it put everyone back a little. No problems with waiting because I appreciated the fact that if I had an emergency, they would give me priority as well. Dr. Shapiro came in with an assistant and they took care of my problems very quickly and my feet feel great again. Again very professional and I recommend to anyone needing a good Podiatrist although Dr Shapiro is only in the Mooresville Office one day a week. They have offices in other locations and he cycles through all of them. I have also seen Dr. Shapiro at the Huntersville location as well.

I will give them a single star just because they dealt with an ingrown toe nail some years ago and it did not come back. After that procedure of which I paid cash, they took it upon themselves to send my nail away for analysis which we did not request.(actually I witnessed the nail being disposed of so what was checked anyhow?) Was followed by a bill for $ 500 or so which we refuted and the issue was taken care of by Dr Ads. Years have passed. Took that as a mistake. Recently went in for an issue with my left foot primarily. As I wanted the first available date was given Dr Robinson whom I have met that once. He prescribed some special in-soles for now and advised me they were fully covered by my insurance. I have a main and a secondary gap insurance so all seemed well. Thereafter, during the 6 week wait for these soles I received another bill showing $ 295 not covered by main insurance. I called them, explained the Gap insurance and gave the details once again over the phone. A few days later I get a call that the soles are ready and made an appointment to collect them. On this call I also asked again for a second time that I was waiting to schedule an operation on my foot still from the appointment now 5 weeks earlier. Never received a call or notification on that to date. So today I went to collect the soles and figured at the end I could look into the operation date. Well. It all went wrong. Yes I went in and had the soles fitted in my shoes all seemed well and went to check out. Surprise. They asked me to pay $ 295. This is not expected and not OK. The lady at check out had no idea about my Gap insurance even though I has brought it in 6 weeks earlier and called a week or two before now. She had no record. I asked to speak to my doctor… She said he is there. I looked and did not see him. It was Dr Ads who was not who I was working with. She said oh sorry. Yii had Dr Shapiro. This did not sound right either.(When I got home I checked and I had been working with Dr Robinson). They had no idea what the heck was the what. The lady wanted me to take the soles out of my shows unless I wanted to pay cash for them. I don’t. I pay a great deal for insurance. So I made a decision there and then that these people will not be operating on me. Go in for a foot surgery and perhaps come out missing some fingers. Unbelievable. Really. Outraged I am. I will not go back there ever. Jokers. Disgruntled. SC.
